Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Oh shit.
[00:00:00] Speaker B: Where did Ben go?
[00:00:01] Speaker C: Nevermind, he's way at the end of the hallway.
[00:00:04] Speaker B: I was busy admiring Danny Osmond.
[00:00:10] Speaker A: Yeah, fair.
[00:00:10] Speaker C: I'm gonna let the audience just think on that.
[00:00:16] Speaker D: And we have our intro.
[00:00:33] Speaker C: Okay. So I'm realizing now that at the time that this episode releases, this will in fact be pretty much irrelevant. But you know the, like, Halloween cereals that they have like the Count Chocula and the booberry. I tried so hard to find them when I was at the store this last week and they were nowhere to be found.
It is October and I don't have my count chocula, which I think is the best one. That's where I was. He died. Who staked Count Chocula?
[00:01:10] Speaker A: He got.
[00:01:11] Speaker D: What's that one? The scene from breaking dawn where they. Spoilers for breaking dawn, where they have the vision of the fight and they rip Carlisle's head off in the first 30 seconds.
[00:01:24] Speaker C: Wait, that doesn't actually happen.
[00:01:26] Speaker A: Yeah, no, it was like they tried to make onion cereal and it didn't sell very well.
[00:01:31] Speaker E: What? Onions? Where did onion cereal come from?
[00:01:34] Speaker A: You know, or garlic.
Garlic, whatever. Same difference.
[00:01:40] Speaker B: That's not.
[00:01:43] Speaker D: Maybe they made crucifix cereal.
[00:01:46] Speaker A: Yeah, correct. Yeah.
[00:01:49] Speaker C: Anyway, I'm really sad about it and I have, uh, frosted mini wheats instead, but it's just not the same. It's like cold and crispy outside. There was frost on the roof and I wish so badly for some count chocula.
[00:02:04] Speaker B: Um, I have news. Maybe. When does this episode come out? It might not be relevant if it comes out after December. Uh, I got a media badge for Pax U. Oh, that's sicken. I got a content creator badge. What does that do?
[00:02:21] Speaker C: They're influencer.
[00:02:23] Speaker B: So yeah, basically I base. It functions more or less like a normal badge, but I have permission. I got access to a special lounge, I think, which is weird. I don't really.
[00:02:35] Speaker C: Delta airline thing or something.
[00:02:39] Speaker B: So I get access to the media lounge and then creator spaces, but I also have extra fresh permission to film on the floor and make content and like talk about it that weekend, which is kind of cool. Not like I wouldn't have done that anyway, but I don't know, like now I'm doing it with a purpose, I guess. I don't. That's kind of crazy because Pax is a pretty big.
Paxu is not a big convention, but like, pax as an organization is like, if you get, if you get it at like one, you might get it at the others if they like you enough. And I literally was. It was like a fucking Hail Mary. I was just like. I found out about it from Dunkles, who is guesting for the Halloween one shot. Who guested for the Halloween one shot. This will be out by the time that it'll be done.
But I found out about media badge applications opening, and I went, fuck it, why not? What do I need to do? And he explained it to me, and I went, oh, shit. Cool. And then I got an email, like, last week that was like, hello, you've been approved. And I was like, well, that wasn't what I was planning on. All right, then.
[00:03:47] Speaker C: The moral of the story. And this has happened, like, so many times, it's like you kind of just.
[00:03:51] Speaker A: I know where you're going with this.
[00:03:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:03:53] Speaker C: Like, you kind of just gotta send it and, like, you know, it's kind of ballsy sometimes and it feels weird, but it just. Sometimes it'll just work out and it's great. So I'm really excited for you, Grace. That's so fun.
[00:04:06] Speaker E: Lesson number two or input number two. Grace plus count chocula collab. Win.
[00:04:15] Speaker B: Oh, my God, Grace.
[00:04:17] Speaker C: Only you can bring back Count Chocula cereal.
[00:04:20] Speaker D: Only you can make garlic scene.
[00:04:22] Speaker B: All I can think about is the dropout, like, Shakespeare episode.
[00:04:27] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:04:28] Speaker B: I think it was game time where they did a weird ass, uh, Romeo and Juliet parody. Basically, my friend and I were fucking laughing our ass off when he was just, like, from the eastern land of Chocula. We didn't realize he was doing, like, an accent. We just thought he was making a weird noise, and we had to backtrack so quick.
[00:04:51] Speaker D: Speaking of making weird noises, should we play some d and d?
[00:04:59] Speaker A: That's.
[00:05:00] Speaker D: That's.
[00:05:00] Speaker E: That's.
[00:05:02] Speaker C: Anybody else want to make a weird noise?
[00:05:04] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:05:07] Speaker D: Can I do my Scooby Doo run noise?
[00:05:09] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:05:10] Speaker D: Can I do my Scooby Doo run noise? I don't know if I can hang on. I have to be, like, not laughing, so I might need to, like, cover up my camera for a second.
[00:05:20] Speaker B: Don't look at me.
[00:05:23] Speaker D: That's my weird noise.
[00:05:25] Speaker E: Together we make, like, slimer from the Ghostbusters.
[00:05:31] Speaker C: I have a contribution. I don't know if it counts as a weird noise because I think it's just really cool. I can sound like crickets. You ready?
[00:05:39] Speaker D: Whoa.
Call yourself Jiminy.
[00:05:43] Speaker B: See, a lot of my.
A lot of my weird noises make it into the episodes somehow quick.
[00:05:50] Speaker D: You have to make a weird noise.
[00:05:54] Speaker E: Nice.
[00:05:56] Speaker B: Weird enough?
[00:05:57] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:05:57] Speaker A: Great.
Last time, our adventurers stepped foot into a bizarre ruin that hardly looked ruined at all. Inside was it maybe a library or some sort of temple? Unclear, but they find a small fountain with some weird magic and a statue of the God Niravati. The heliocentric magic source. Bleh. God damn it.
The heliocentric magic shores. They press forward into the temple. I don't care. I tried it twice. I'm done. They press forward into the temple, looking for more evidence of this arcanist Nadia talked about. So we're still in a dungeon crawl. You guys are in sort of.
[00:06:37] Speaker B: Oh, we're in combat or. No, we're not.
[00:06:41] Speaker A: Yeah, no, I think they both. I think we both killed skeletons.
[00:06:44] Speaker B: No, they're dead. They're very dead. And I did nothing.
[00:06:47] Speaker A: They're dead again.
[00:06:48] Speaker B: I remember now.
[00:06:51] Speaker A: Dead two, that's for sure.
All right, so where do you guys want to go? There is a left and a right on this map that we're looking at. Oh, this could be Patreon content too, if.
[00:07:06] Speaker D: Wow.
[00:07:07] Speaker A: Want to do that?
Alright, so where do you want to go? Left or right? Mellowyn is on the right still about 30ft away. Everyone else is kind of cool. Crowded in the doorway of this small room in which you found a couple skellies.
[00:07:22] Speaker F: Listen, I'm a spellcaster.
[00:07:24] Speaker B: I'm squishy.
[00:07:25] Speaker F: I didn't want to get in melee.
[00:07:28] Speaker A: Oh, it's not a judgment. I'm just setting the scene.
[00:07:32] Speaker E: We searched through the other room, but we haven't searched through these guys. Do they have any iconography or symbology or clues about this place on their skelly bodies?
[00:07:46] Speaker A: Good question. Make some investigation or religion checks. Whatever you want.
[00:07:54] Speaker E: A good role for Ben.
[00:07:57] Speaker D: Whoa.
[00:07:59] Speaker E: Uh, 16.
[00:08:04] Speaker A: Uh, yeah. So these guys kind of look like they're just wearing really basic robes. Um, but they are wearing like the same kind of robe. So this is probably something I don't. You're not sure if it's leaning towards cult or like, just sort of worship y religion. Kind of. Maybe they were temple workers.
There isn't any symbology, but it's clear that they're wearing the same thing and they're not like heavily armed or anything like that. Cool.
[00:08:34] Speaker C: First of all, sorry for finding the skeletons. I thought that since everything so far has been completely symmetrical, that since that room was empty, this one would also be empty. Um, so sorry, but also, thank you for killing the skeletons with me.
Someone else can lead the way.
[00:09:03] Speaker D: Uh, I think otter, uh, Isaac looks at you with the angry eyebrows still and Milo says, yeah, I think that's totally understandable. So I think we should just like leave this room.
That's fine. You should just go.
[00:09:18] Speaker C: Okay.
Odin exits swiftly.
[00:09:24] Speaker A: Which way are you going?
[00:09:29] Speaker C: If you guys don't pick, I'll walk into another room. That's a push.
[00:09:32] Speaker D: Which way are we going?
[00:09:33] Speaker E: Heading west.
Left.
[00:09:37] Speaker A: To left on the map.
[00:09:39] Speaker E: Left on the map, sure.
[00:09:41] Speaker A: You kind of come to the end of this hallway, and you see a secondary hallway with. Down this hallway looks like an entrance to something else.
[00:09:50] Speaker E: It will point out that there is a door on the right and slowly approach it with buds.
[00:09:56] Speaker C: Audan will follow with her hammer at the ready.
[00:10:02] Speaker B: All right, who's.
[00:10:02] Speaker A: Is anyone looking in this room?
[00:10:04] Speaker E: Oh, look.
[00:10:06] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. You peek in, and it looks like it's just. It's mostly ranged weapon stuff. Like the room that you were in before was other weapons, mostly melee sort of things. This room has a lot of arrows, a lot of really basic bows, a couple of crossbows, but again, just kind of shelving with space for people's belongings, it seems like.
[00:10:28] Speaker C: Okay, if we were to continue down the original sort of momentum direction we were heading, it looks like there's an opening at the end of that hallway. Is that a door that's closed?
[00:10:39] Speaker A: No, that is more hallway, which is very exciting.
[00:10:44] Speaker E: I would love to close off anything that would be behind us. So maybe we keep going that way before we take a left at this intersection that we're coming to.
[00:10:56] Speaker A: Does anyone have detect magic up? Because I can't remember from last time, and I would like to know.
[00:11:01] Speaker B: Melanie just have it up constantly because I have eldritch sight.
[00:11:09] Speaker F: I can cast it.
[00:11:10] Speaker A: Does Milo also have it, or are you just letting Melwin do it?
[00:11:13] Speaker D: Nah, I'm letting Melwin do it. My spell slots are few and far between.
[00:11:17] Speaker A: Yeah, sounds good. As you pass by this room, Melwin, there is a. There's one crossbow that is giving off some magic.
[00:11:25] Speaker F: Mila, that one's magic.
[00:11:27] Speaker D: Which one?
[00:11:29] Speaker B: She points at it.
[00:11:30] Speaker D: What kind of magic? I don't know, like, good magic or bad magic?
[00:11:35] Speaker B: God, tell me.
[00:11:37] Speaker D: Is it red? Is it blue? Is it green?
[00:11:40] Speaker A: Is it black?
[00:11:41] Speaker D: Is it white? Is it purple? Is it brown?
Is it gray?
[00:11:45] Speaker F: Mila, if you saw, is it paint? Questions and let God answer.
[00:11:48] Speaker B: Maybe we'll learn.
[00:11:49] Speaker A: The DM's about to Smite Myla. No, I think it's. It should be red.
[00:11:56] Speaker B: Action that.
[00:12:00] Speaker D: Action magic. I will grab it.
Great.
[00:12:05] Speaker A: You have a magic crossbow.
[00:12:08] Speaker D: Whoa. I'll put it in the back of holding.
[00:12:12] Speaker A: Fabulous.
That is the only magical thing in that room. You guys want to continue down this hallway?
[00:12:18] Speaker C: Mm hmm.
[00:12:21] Speaker A: You are passing by one hallway that ends in a door. Two double doors that seem like they swing inwards. And then on the right is back towards that Oasis section. So you've kind of made this big, like, u turn at the end of the hall. And now you're heading back.
You go down this hallway. There seems to be some sort of corner door at the end of this hall.
It is like two doors that meet at a corner point. Weirdly so, they swing outwards.
[00:12:52] Speaker B: Oh, shit. Where did Ben go? Nevermind.
[00:12:54] Speaker C: He's way at the end of the hallway.
[00:12:56] Speaker B: I was busy admiring Danny Osbourne.
[00:13:02] Speaker A: Yeah, fair.
[00:13:03] Speaker C: I'm gonna let the audience just think on that.
[00:13:09] Speaker D: And we have our intro.
[00:13:14] Speaker A: We have so much intro.
[00:13:15] Speaker B: No, the Internet's supposed to think, I.
[00:13:17] Speaker A: Mean, half intro.
[00:13:20] Speaker B: They'Re gonna think, I'm a straight.
[00:13:22] Speaker C: You can be also straight.
[00:13:27] Speaker A: I know.
Not where I thought that sentence was going.
[00:13:34] Speaker C: I started, you can be gay and also like, men, which is like the.
[00:13:38] Speaker B: Definition of you can be gay and also be straight.
[00:13:40] Speaker D: I did it for years.
[00:13:45] Speaker C: We're kicking.
Okay. I'm intrigued by these double doors. If I kind of approach them, are there any gaps in the door or like, is there a keyhole or is there anything that I can kind of like, cozy on up to and see if I hear anything through it?
[00:14:02] Speaker A: These? Yeah, these are just two wooden doors that are like, they reach floor to ceiling, so they're very tall, but they, they don't, it's almost like they don't close all the way. Like, the doors are too big for the space, so they meet in a corner. There's no lock on it or anything because that would be a weird lock mechanism. So they do look like they'll just swing open at any given moment if you want. But you can also, like, if you're pressing on one door, it presses perpendicularly onto the other door. So it's not like if you lean against it, you're gonna open them. Um, so if you want to do that, you can, there isn't like a gap in between the doors. They are like, basically holding the other one up almost with the weight of pressing against each other.
[00:14:49] Speaker C: Then could I just make a general perception check just to see, like, if there are any sounds that we haven't noticed that could indicate, like, oh, more skeletons, like somewhere for sure. Just kind of a general.
[00:15:04] Speaker A: Absolutely.
[00:15:04] Speaker C: General checkeroony.
[00:15:09] Speaker E: General Checkeroni.
[00:15:11] Speaker C: General checkeroony is a 14 for my general checkeroony.
[00:15:17] Speaker A: You don't hear anything moving around inside of there or anything like that? There's no. Not even any wind sounds.
The only thing that you are hearing is a slight bit of what sounds like firecrackle.
[00:15:30] Speaker C: Um, I see otter, Isaac, and Myla here on the map. Are Aidan Melwin still up in the Yukon up there? Yeah, way ahead. Okay.
[00:15:41] Speaker E: Yes, because we agreed to the plan of checking out the finishing. The things behind.
[00:15:48] Speaker A: I'm gonna be so honest.
The doors that I just described are the ones near id because I thought everyone was going that direction. But we have split, and I did not understand that. So that's on me, then.
[00:15:58] Speaker C: That's where I am. Also, where are these?
[00:16:00] Speaker E: Can you point out they're behind shadow right here.
[00:16:03] Speaker B: Oh, that's less on you and more on us for not moving our tokens.
[00:16:08] Speaker E: No, I moved her token. Everybody else moved the tokens to a different spot.
[00:16:13] Speaker C: I was pleased. In my defense.
Head empty. Okay, great. Those are the doors that I'm stepping then. Perfect. I don't hear any skeletons.
[00:16:24] Speaker A: You're welcome to do this again at the actual door, the other door you were at. And I will give you accurate information.
[00:16:31] Speaker C: We'll get there.
I think she's just going to say I don't hear any skeletons, so if we want to go in, we can. But also, sometimes doors are dangerous. So, you reading anything, Mellie?
[00:16:46] Speaker B: I don't know. Am I?
[00:16:49] Speaker A: There's a little bit of yellow magic. Other than the kind of ambient stuff that you've been seeing there. There are, like, spots of yellow magic kind of higher up on the walls.
Other than that, there is one blue something that seems to be kind of, like, on the ground towards the back of whatever this thing is. This room. Gotcha. That's what you're getting.
[00:17:17] Speaker F: I don't think I like that, but I'm gonna go take a look anyway.
[00:17:21] Speaker E: I'm gonna go in. With respect, Melvin.
[00:17:25] Speaker A: Fabulous. There's nothing exciting to look at on the map in this room, but in this room, a square. Kind of a square.
[00:17:34] Speaker B: Sorry.
[00:17:35] Speaker A: Crazy. You walk into the doors and towards that back diagonal spot on the room, there is like a bowl with. That's, like, sitting on some sort of countertop something or other.
And then around the whole room are torches that are lit currently, which is what those yellow magic spots you were seeing are. And the fire crackle sound you heard. And Melwyn can see that next to the counter, kind of like in the back, peeking out. Just barely. Looks like some sort of scroll.
[00:18:14] Speaker C: Is the bowl full of count chocula?
[00:18:16] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[00:18:17] Speaker A: Yeah, you got me.
That was actually the end goal of this whole temple was find count chocula.
[00:18:23] Speaker F: Grabby. Grabby it.
[00:18:24] Speaker B: Mine. Scroll.
[00:18:26] Speaker A: You open it up just enough to see what it says. And this looks like a scroll of blur.
[00:18:33] Speaker B: Ooh, ooh, ooh. Actually, that's really fun. Sorry.
[00:18:39] Speaker E: I saw a TikTok earlier this week that I did not send to anybody, but it was of a comedian whose thing was like, oh, yeah, we're gonna be focusing more on, like, medieval realism in our next d and d game. And a guy, like, goes up to the notice board and was like, well, I'd love to get one of these jobs, but due to this, I can't read.
And I was imagining Melwind, like, going up to the scroll and it being a scroll of forget how to read and Melwind to read.
[00:19:10] Speaker B: No, no, that's Grace. Grace never knows how to read anyway.
[00:19:17] Speaker E: Six scroll.
[00:19:18] Speaker F: Uh, Mel, it looks like that in her bag.
[00:19:23] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:19:24] Speaker A: Yarn, like, is sitting on your shoulder. And his eyes just go, like. They, like, grow bigger on his leaf body. Like, he's just like, what?
He doesn't want it or can't. Like, doesn't know what it is, but it looks cool because the words are glowing.
[00:19:41] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:19:42] Speaker A: And shifting.
[00:19:43] Speaker F: Can you even read?
[00:19:45] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:19:47] Speaker B: Insight check. This is bullshit.
[00:19:50] Speaker E: I'm also gonna insight check that.
Why not? In check.
[00:19:55] Speaker A: In check sight.
[00:19:56] Speaker B: He used my Jacques whipper die. Cause I got to see him last weekend.
[00:20:00] Speaker E: Ooh, heck, yeah.
My in check is 22.
[00:20:05] Speaker B: Oh, this bitch loves me, but my insight does not. I forgot I have a negative insight. 17.
[00:20:14] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. No. Totally lying. Can't read it.
[00:20:19] Speaker E: Just puts it in his non existent mind palace and moves on with his life.
[00:20:29] Speaker A: This room, however, has, like, benches kind of lining the sides underneath the torches. It seems to be, like, some sort of offering room. There are a lot of decayed plants that are so decayed, they're, like, ashy.
Just kind of surrounding this counter altar thing.
But that seems to be all that's in here. It's not very complex.
[00:20:51] Speaker C: So the torches, based on kind of what Melwyn was, uh, reading, just so I am clear and have it, the torches are, like, some kind of, like, magical, always be on fire spell. And the scroll was what was emanating the little bit of blue?
[00:21:06] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:21:08] Speaker D: Sweet.
[00:21:09] Speaker A: Good clarification.
[00:21:10] Speaker C: I just want to file all of that away in my non existent mind palace.
[00:21:18] Speaker E: Great.
I say we continue on.
[00:21:23] Speaker C: Check out the other door.
[00:21:25] Speaker E: Yeah. So we've kind of made a weird, like, really vertical u shape on the map. We went down past the pool and. Or the little mini black and white pool, and then we went to the massive pool room and kept going south, and then we took a left, and then we went all the way back up. So we're gonna go past the little black and white like coin pool again and keep heading to the right.
[00:21:51] Speaker C: It's kind of like an analog zero.
Yeah, with lots of squares happening and corners to turn.
[00:22:01] Speaker A: This looks like it's probably symmetrical to the side that you've already been on. So a second room with similar l shaped doors.
That small fountain is still emanating magic. That hasn't changed, man.
[00:22:19] Speaker C: I'm, like, kind of curious to try and see what the other thing that happens is.
[00:22:25] Speaker E: You got a good thing?
[00:22:27] Speaker C: I was gonna say I don't want to, like, push it.
[00:22:29] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:22:30] Speaker F: But I want to poke it.
[00:22:32] Speaker C: That is your choice to make, my bud.
[00:22:36] Speaker B: Or we can leave it up to a wisdom safe knowing. That was a bad idea. That was a bad idea.
[00:22:42] Speaker C: I was gonna say no one.
[00:22:43] Speaker A: What's about that?
[00:22:44] Speaker C: The decision has already been made.
[00:22:47] Speaker B: I shit you not. I rolled a zero.
[00:22:49] Speaker D: Oh, my God.
[00:22:51] Speaker B: Natural one minus one.
[00:22:54] Speaker C: Yee haw, cowboys.
[00:22:57] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess I'm poking it.
All right.
[00:23:02] Speaker A: Last time you guys threw a gold piece in.
Is that what you're doing again?
[00:23:08] Speaker C: Well, I don't know. What's Melbourne doing? Is she just sticking her hands in the water?
[00:23:12] Speaker B: Oh, you know what I can throw in? I have four daggers.
We can spare one. I forgot that. I did that as a joke and then I never changed it. Cause I thought it was too funny.
[00:23:26] Speaker C: Nice.
[00:23:27] Speaker A: Okay. All right, you wanna toss the dagger in?
[00:23:29] Speaker B: I'll toss the dagger in.
[00:23:31] Speaker A: Okay, awesome. I need you to make a dexterity saving throw.
[00:23:36] Speaker B: Let's fucking go.
[00:23:38] Speaker D: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
[00:23:39] Speaker B: That one has pretty good dexterity. Or dear, maybe 19.
[00:23:44] Speaker A: Okay. The dagger sinks to the bottom, and you wait for a half second, and then it gets shot back out at you, just kind of in your direction. It doesn't seem like it was targeting you specifically, but that's where you threw it in. But you dodge out of the way and it just sticks in the wall above you.
[00:24:05] Speaker C: I think there's that kind of splash. And Auden just whips around and she's going to say, uh, everything okay?
[00:24:15] Speaker F: Yep.
[00:24:16] Speaker B: And Melanie just walk.
There's the dagger there. Just walk away.
[00:24:21] Speaker E: Can you imagine tossing in, like, your only silver piece and it beaming you in the head?
[00:24:28] Speaker D: I don't want your pity money.
[00:24:30] Speaker E: I don't want your stupid coin.
[00:24:34] Speaker D: Platinum or nothing, bitch.
[00:24:37] Speaker C: Do you think there's a way to, like, hack it, like, you know, and it just spits all the change out at you. Like.
[00:24:46] Speaker A: Kick the fountain.
[00:24:47] Speaker E: Five d, four. Bludgeon damage.
[00:24:52] Speaker A: Yeah, but you got 50 gold out of it, so, you know, to pay for all your medical bills.
All right, so you guys are at this corner with the same l shaped doors.
What do you want to do? I mean, if you round the corner, you can see that the hallway kind of goes back into that cross section, so it's all very symmetrical.
[00:25:13] Speaker E: Any magic through the doors?
[00:25:17] Speaker A: Same torch spots. But other than that, no, it will go in.
[00:25:25] Speaker E: Just double check and make sure there's no skeletons hiding to ambush us later.
[00:25:30] Speaker A: Fabulous. You go in, there are no skeletons. However, you do trip a tripwire as you walk. Oh, no, we got guns, so we're.
[00:25:42] Speaker B: So good at this. Guys.
Clearly, this party was. They're made so.
[00:25:48] Speaker D: Well, there are two wolves inside us. The ones that want to get things done and the ones that want to be real D and D players.
[00:25:58] Speaker C: It's.
[00:25:58] Speaker A: It's so good, though, because you guys have been checking the first room and then being like, it's fine, and then not checking the second room.
[00:26:05] Speaker E: Yeah, it's worked out literally perfect.
[00:26:07] Speaker C: If it works out, thumbnail. One room is fine, the other one is scary in some way.
[00:26:12] Speaker B: Funniest thing about this is that it was id this time. Who is not known for throwing caution to the wind?
[00:26:20] Speaker E: Well, there was no scary magic thing.
[00:26:23] Speaker B: You didn't. Yeah.
[00:26:24] Speaker A: Cause it was a regular trap.
[00:26:26] Speaker E: Yeah, exactly.
[00:26:28] Speaker A: Regular old trap. All right, I need everyone to make dexterity saving throws.
[00:26:32] Speaker E: Everybody.
[00:26:35] Speaker B: Well, I failed. Yeah, I failed.
[00:26:40] Speaker C: Oh, no.
[00:26:43] Speaker E: Oh, shit.
[00:26:43] Speaker A: I disagree. I think everyone has a plus four from id.
Eleven, so there's that, too.
[00:26:49] Speaker B: Oh, then I rolled a four on my wisdom save, actually, but.
[00:26:55] Speaker D: Wow.
[00:26:55] Speaker A: That was just kidding. No, terrible.
[00:27:00] Speaker B: That was silly.
[00:27:03] Speaker D: I got a.
I got a 26.
[00:27:08] Speaker E: Whoa.
[00:27:08] Speaker A: 26 from Mila.
[00:27:11] Speaker E: I got a dirty 20.
[00:27:12] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:27:13] Speaker B: 711.
[00:27:16] Speaker D: Each store is the same.
[00:27:19] Speaker E: Did you roll with advantage, too?
[00:27:20] Speaker A: Mega oh.
[00:27:22] Speaker E: Advance from danger sense.
[00:27:24] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. I haven't used that in, like, 5 billion years.
[00:27:27] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:27:28] Speaker C: Yeah, it's an eleven or a ten. So I'll take the eleven.
[00:27:31] Speaker E: Oh, no.
[00:27:32] Speaker A: So the torches on the wall all start spitting fire towards the center of this room and then, like, out towards the doors, which is why everyone made saves.
Nadia and Arya were kind of in the back and, like, tuck and roll out of the way, sort of down the hallway slightly. Those of you that saved you take six points of fire damage and those who did not, which is Audinen and Melwyn, take 13 points of fire damage.
[00:28:05] Speaker D: I take three points. Cause I'm resistant to fire damage.
[00:28:09] Speaker A: Hell yeah, sweetie.
[00:28:12] Speaker F: I am wispy hair, too.
[00:28:16] Speaker B: Glad we're ignoring that.
[00:28:17] Speaker A: I just said.
[00:28:17] Speaker B: Okay, nevermind.
[00:28:20] Speaker C: Do you get half of that? Because you're a tiefling.
[00:28:23] Speaker B: Not.
Not different lineage. We just reflavored it so Mellon is lightning instead of fire.
[00:28:32] Speaker C: Okay, that's okay. I thought about that, but I was like, I would feel bad if I didn't double check.
[00:28:38] Speaker B: No, that's why you throwing me into the electrified wall of water didn't hurt me that bad.
[00:28:43] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Good times, good times.
[00:28:46] Speaker D: Wow.
[00:28:48] Speaker C: Okay, is there anything to see in this room other than some crispy friends?
[00:28:56] Speaker A: No. This room looks pretty much identical to the other one, minus a spell scroll, so. Ooh, Arnold's gonna kick the door on.
[00:29:05] Speaker C: The way out and say, stupid room. She's padding off.
[00:29:10] Speaker E: All right.
Everything was magic so far.
[00:29:14] Speaker B: Just kind of zoomed, moving right away.
[00:29:19] Speaker E: Anyway, let's go down south.
[00:29:24] Speaker D: I think Myla has, like, a little bit of her cape is, like, on fire, and she's just like, oh, oops. Like, blows it out real quick. And she's like, okay, now we're good. Sorry.
[00:29:35] Speaker B: You're just trying so hard.
[00:29:38] Speaker A: Ari tries to pat out your hair and then is like, oh, right, okay. Sorry.
My badgest. Hmm?
[00:29:45] Speaker D: Yeah.
Okay.
[00:29:48] Speaker A: Sorry.
[00:29:49] Speaker D: It's fine.
[00:29:51] Speaker A: I'm sorry. I forgot.
[00:29:52] Speaker D: No, it's fine. Just sometimes people have flames for hair, and that's okay.
[00:29:56] Speaker B: You know?
[00:29:57] Speaker A: Just.
You are the first one so that I've seen.
[00:30:02] Speaker D: Oh. Oh, yeah. Cause you lived, like a sheltered life.
[00:30:05] Speaker A: Did you homeschool?
You could call it that, yeah, sure.
[00:30:09] Speaker D: It's okay. I was the same exact way.
[00:30:14] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:30:19] Speaker E: All right, let's keep going, and we're moving on.
[00:30:24] Speaker A: But we're gonna finish our, right?
Yeah. So there is a closed door here. What do you want to do?
[00:30:33] Speaker E: Go past it and come back to it later?
[00:30:37] Speaker D: Is there anything? As we continue our loop around this hallway.
[00:30:43] Speaker A: Yeah, there's a mirrored room from the other side in which you found the crossbow. Oh, that means it'll be fine on the other side.
[00:30:55] Speaker C: This one's gonna be weird.
[00:30:56] Speaker A: Be careful.
[00:30:57] Speaker B: This is the normal one, obviously.
[00:31:00] Speaker D: Can I investigate the doorway before we walk in?
[00:31:06] Speaker B: It only took us four rooms of this to learn our lesson.
[00:31:10] Speaker A: We are x scan.
[00:31:12] Speaker D: Milo's like, I know the statistics by now, guys.
[00:31:15] Speaker B: We're really good dungeon crawlers.
[00:31:18] Speaker D: Oh, that's a big, big, big boy number. I rolled a natural 19 plus a 13 for whatever that is.
[00:31:28] Speaker C: She's the wheeze.
[00:31:30] Speaker E: 32.
[00:31:30] Speaker C: 32.
[00:31:31] Speaker D: 32.
[00:31:33] Speaker C: My goodness.
[00:31:34] Speaker A: Yeah, there's definitely a pressure plate on the floor.
[00:31:37] Speaker D: Oh, so don't step on that. I think it's so easy, Milo. Like, it's like, talk to me. I was exactly that way, too. Oh, she, like, grabs otter Isaac before he steps on the plate. And it's like, that's bad.
[00:31:50] Speaker B: That's bad.
[00:31:51] Speaker D: That's really bad. No, he shouldn't. That's a bad floor.
[00:31:58] Speaker B: This is like the fucking YouTube mua. Welcome back to my channel.
[00:32:05] Speaker C: Don't touch the floor. Don't forget to not slam that tile. Pressure plate.
[00:32:12] Speaker E: Is there anything of value beyond the pressure plate?
[00:32:15] Speaker A: No, this looks like boxes of stuff and, like, jars of disgusting molded food.
[00:32:22] Speaker E: Again, this place seems abandoned, but they left important stuff behind.
[00:32:29] Speaker D: Yeah, maybe they're, like, leaving in a hurry.
[00:32:32] Speaker E: Maybe.
[00:32:33] Speaker B: Or the skeletons we saw were people that died, that were working here and got buried.
Oh.
[00:32:42] Speaker E: But if they got buried, wouldn't they eat the food that was here in hopes of, like, waiting it out?
[00:32:47] Speaker A: It's not entirely boxed. Like, there are some boxes that are, like, half open. There are some. Like, it's not all like this. We just got a shipment in, and everything is perfectly stocked on the shelves.
[00:33:00] Speaker E: Okay, that makes me feel a little better. It's still sketchy as heck.
[00:33:06] Speaker D: There's a break in the pattern. There's a hallway over here that's not on the other side of the room.
[00:33:10] Speaker A: That's true.
[00:33:11] Speaker C: Moving forward down the hallway.
[00:33:13] Speaker D: There's asymmetrical there.
[00:33:17] Speaker A: Yeah. There's a hallway down here with two little doorways on either side. And then one at the end where you can actually see the end of this room.
[00:33:25] Speaker D: Whoa.
[00:33:27] Speaker A: Which one are you looking at?
[00:33:28] Speaker E: First, this looks like trap city or ambush city.
[00:33:32] Speaker C: Does Id say that, or is that Ben talking?
[00:33:35] Speaker E: Thats me bad.
[00:33:37] Speaker D: What does ID say?
[00:33:39] Speaker E: Okay, so what were looking at is like a straight to the right hallway, and then halfway down it, theres a little thing that goes either north or south. And then theres a larger room at the end. So its kind of like a t and then a thing at the end.
[00:33:56] Speaker D: Like a lowercase t or an uppercase.
[00:33:58] Speaker E: T. Like a lowercase t with a big minecraft block on top of it.
[00:34:03] Speaker D: I don't think I know that board game.
[00:34:05] Speaker E: Minecraft fent.
[00:34:12] Speaker A: Minecraft is like this world's legos. Like, it's like a kid's toy that I play with all the time. Yeah.
[00:34:19] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:34:20] Speaker B: Good.
[00:34:22] Speaker E: Which it definitely had.
[00:34:25] Speaker A: Yes, for sure.
[00:34:28] Speaker E: Yeah, I think we just, like, check on our way. Walking very carefully, Milo. You saw that pressure plate really easily. I don't know if you want to go first.
[00:34:37] Speaker D: I can keep my eyes open for sure.
Just make sure people don't leave from behind.
[00:34:43] Speaker E: Yeah, I'll stay right behind Myla.
[00:34:46] Speaker A: Great. Yeah. You guys head down this hallway. Miley can roll some investigation.
[00:34:50] Speaker D: Yeah. Embedsdiganchen.
That's gonna be a 19.
[00:34:56] Speaker A: Great. You walk down this hallway, you see nothing out of the ordinary.
And the room that's on your character's, right. So, like, south on this map is what looks like mostly just cookware storage. It's, like, pots and pans and, like, spices and other sort of non perishable things that you would use in the kitchen.
A couple barrels. So if there's anything regular that you want from there, you can. You can certainly taste it.
[00:35:28] Speaker D: Is there any salt?
[00:35:30] Speaker A: Yeah, there's some, like, pink salt that hasn't. I mean, salt doesn't really go bad. I don't think so. Like.
[00:35:38] Speaker D: Yeah, I'll grab the salt, put it in the bag.
[00:35:43] Speaker A: Cool.
Yeah. It looks like there is a crushed up section of it, like, in a bottle, but there's also a whole block.
[00:35:54] Speaker D: I will take the whole block of salt as well.
[00:35:57] Speaker A: Fabulous.
And then in the room on the left, which mirrors the one that you just saw, this looks like bedding storage, like, sheets and pillows and things. Yeah, and, like, a couple of buckets that would have been used for, like, washing washboards and that kind of thing.
That's what's in here.
[00:36:19] Speaker D: This is a weird floor plan.
And I'll just keep walking forward.
[00:36:26] Speaker A: The room on the end is just firewood. It's just stacked, like, floor to ceiling with firewood.
You can hardly even see the back wall because it's just covered.
[00:36:37] Speaker C: It almost seems like people used to live here, but, like, where would they sleep?
[00:36:44] Speaker E: Like, monks or acolytes or something?
[00:36:47] Speaker C: I know about monks, for sure.
[00:36:49] Speaker D: I mean, there was also all those tents outside, so maybe people, like, would stay in the tents, and they would just keep their supplies in here.
I don't know. This is peculiar.
Why would.
I'm just wondering why this is blocked by, like.
Like, the only way we could get in here is with this, like, magical, omnipotent, sentient magic feather.
But it's, like, just a bunch of normal shit.
[00:37:20] Speaker C: Maybe we just haven't found the abnormal stuff yet.
[00:37:23] Speaker D: Maybe.
[00:37:24] Speaker C: Um. Mellie, could there be any kind of, like, hidden magics in any of these rooms? Like, are you picking anything up? Is that saucepan really just a normal saucepan?
[00:37:40] Speaker E: Anastasia, is nodding.
[00:37:42] Speaker B: I don't know if you're nodding to there's hidden magic or the saucepan is a saucepan. I have no idea.
[00:37:49] Speaker A: No hidden magic.
[00:37:50] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:37:52] Speaker F: Uh, my wendy's going to look around some more because shit's weird.
[00:37:59] Speaker E: Wood elemental.
[00:38:02] Speaker A: Yeah, that'd be fun.
[00:38:05] Speaker C: Whoa. Don't fire. Don't give her any.
[00:38:07] Speaker A: But if you set it on fire, it gets stronger.
[00:38:09] Speaker E: Exactly. It's like there's guys from the elden ring DLC who have the. They have like big bonfires on their heads.
[00:38:15] Speaker B: We're gonna start a fire.
[00:38:17] Speaker D: All right.
[00:38:18] Speaker A: I.
Oh, yeah. No, I mean, Melanie can walk around these three rooms. You don't notice anything.
[00:38:24] Speaker F: Nothing too out of the ordinary right now. Anyway.
[00:38:30] Speaker C: Mysterious.
[00:38:31] Speaker E: We've just got these two big double doors on the east and the west.
[00:38:36] Speaker A: Now the west.
[00:38:39] Speaker B: Sorry, the east and the est.
[00:38:42] Speaker A: New tangent. Did you guys know that when dogs feet are like, kind of facing outwards, they're called easty westy feet? Not a joke.
[00:38:51] Speaker E: That's so cute.
[00:38:52] Speaker C: Cute name.
[00:38:53] Speaker B: Adorable.
[00:38:55] Speaker E: That's really cute. Way cuter than the human version, which is like whis. Pigeon footed or something like that.
[00:39:02] Speaker C: Club footed.
[00:39:03] Speaker A: Something like that?
[00:39:04] Speaker C: No, no, that's inward. I don't know.
[00:39:07] Speaker A: Pigeon toad.
[00:39:08] Speaker B: It's pigeon toad.
[00:39:09] Speaker E: Duck toad.
[00:39:09] Speaker A: Yeah, something like that.
[00:39:10] Speaker E: Anyway, which double door do we want to go?
[00:39:13] Speaker C: I mean, we're close to the one sort of on this right side of the map, so you can just scurry on up there.
[00:39:20] Speaker F: We're going west.
[00:39:21] Speaker E: We're going whist.
[00:39:23] Speaker C: I would like to listen against this door and see if I hear a general checky.
[00:39:29] Speaker D: Can I provide the help? Action.
[00:39:32] Speaker A: No.
[00:39:33] Speaker D: By also listening.
[00:39:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. Thank you.
[00:39:36] Speaker C: Do you want to also roll then?
[00:39:38] Speaker D: No, because it's perception, and I'm shit at perception.
[00:39:41] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:39:43] Speaker A: Can min max hear it? Spells and whistles.
[00:39:47] Speaker C: That's what min maxing is, is a 15.
[00:39:52] Speaker A: Yeah. So you hear fire crackle in this room as well. But other than that, nothing else.
[00:39:59] Speaker C: I don't know how to look for traps, but I don't hear any people in there or skeletons. Do they count as what makes a person a person? She kind of like her eyes. Kind of like zone out a little bit. You've lost her for a second or two.
[00:40:17] Speaker D: I mean, I could look for traps.
[00:40:20] Speaker E: Yes, please.
[00:40:21] Speaker D: I'll do it. I'll look for traps.
[00:40:26] Speaker A: Thank goodness.
[00:40:27] Speaker D: With my 26.
[00:40:30] Speaker E: Holy mo.
[00:40:31] Speaker A: It was very martyr that way. I'll do it.
[00:40:33] Speaker B: I'll look for traps.
[00:40:34] Speaker F: Oh, no.
[00:40:35] Speaker A: I'll do the thing that I'll do.
[00:40:36] Speaker D: The thing that I'm good at. And then I built this character. Oh, no.
[00:40:41] Speaker B: Really took one for the team there, Jay. Good job.
[00:40:44] Speaker D: Oh, no. Skill. Monkey. Myla to the rescue.
[00:40:49] Speaker A: No traps.
[00:40:51] Speaker D: No traps.
[00:40:51] Speaker A: Regular doors.
[00:40:52] Speaker D: Regular door.
[00:40:54] Speaker A: Fifth edition.
[00:40:56] Speaker E: Id will try to open the door.
[00:40:58] Speaker A: Yeah, you push the doors inward. This is just a very large room.
Again, really exciting. On the map. I definitely have details on this map, for sure. It was more about the layout, but on the sort of. At least on the map on the north side of the room. So to your left is, like a burning fireplace.
And then the rest of this room is long wooden tables with long wooden benches on either side. There do seem to be, like, plates and cups and, like, half eaten things on the tables. Yeah. And, like, half, half consumed drinks, things like that. Yeah.
[00:41:39] Speaker E: This is what I'm talking about. This is so weird. I don't like it.
[00:41:44] Speaker D: Just to be clear, things look aged here. Right? Like, it's like, the food that we found is gross and the stuff we're finding is dusty.
[00:41:53] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:54] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:41:54] Speaker B: Was it the, like, pristine look of the temple? One big illusion. Am I thinking of something else? Am I playing games together? No, I'm not.
[00:42:02] Speaker E: A little bit, yeah.
[00:42:03] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:42:04] Speaker E: But it's not cover. It's not covering up, like, the organic stuff. It's just covering up, like, the structure itself.
[00:42:10] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:42:11] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:42:12] Speaker F: Somebody really wanted this place to continue looking pretty.
[00:42:16] Speaker C: Looking at the state of the fireplace, like, the logs in there, like, how far burned down are they? Or, like, are we assuming they don't.
[00:42:25] Speaker A: Look burned down at all? They look. Yeah, they look very.
Yeah, they look like they just got put in there. And if Melwin walked in and walked closer, it's giving us the similar, like, yellow signature.
[00:42:39] Speaker C: Why would they have so much firewood if all of their fireplaces and torches are all magic?
[00:42:45] Speaker E: Also a good question.
[00:42:46] Speaker F: Aesthetics.
[00:42:48] Speaker C: Aesthetics. A room full of wood just for fun.
[00:42:52] Speaker E: Are these.
[00:42:52] Speaker C: You'll get spiders.
[00:42:54] Speaker E: Are these lights hot? Like, if I go up to, like.
[00:42:57] Speaker A: The torches and stuff, do they feel they are not? No.
[00:43:01] Speaker E: So if they need heat, they would need the wood. But if they just need light, they have magic light.
[00:43:07] Speaker A: With the exception that the fire that came at you in the trap in which you had to dodge was hot.
[00:43:14] Speaker E: That's why we took damage.
[00:43:15] Speaker D: Wow.
[00:43:16] Speaker A: Right? Yeah. Right. Well, just kidding.
[00:43:20] Speaker E: Psychic fire.
[00:43:21] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, it was psychic fire. No, no, it was real. It was real fire. Felt like, at least.
[00:43:27] Speaker C: Well, check out the other one, then.
[00:43:29] Speaker E: Go to the other side. Yeah.
[00:43:32] Speaker D: We run across.
[00:43:34] Speaker A: Do you guys want to look for anything? Specific in here.
[00:43:37] Speaker C: Um, I'll do a precursory listen for when. An eight.
I hear nothing in there.
[00:43:46] Speaker A: No, same things.
[00:43:49] Speaker E: Any cuisine similarities to any food that we've seen ever?
[00:43:56] Speaker A: Good question. A lot of the food, it's tough to tell some of it because it's all, like, rotted and rotted.
But there is some flatbread that seems to have held up. Like, you don't want to eat it for sure, but, like, it looks like something that would be shelf stable for a long time.
[00:44:17] Speaker B: Speak for yourself. I'm chowing down. No, I'm kidding.
[00:44:21] Speaker A: Okay. Roll a constitution. Say. I'm just kidding.
[00:44:24] Speaker B: Sorry.
[00:44:27] Speaker A: Yeah, it's kind of like a non sort of deal. And then it looks kind of like a communal, family style food in which, like, they would have passed it around and, like, taken some out of a big serving bowl or something like that.
Seems to be more the case.
Some rice based things.
Yeah, I mean, from the moldy stuff that you can tell that's left in the bowl is like, maybe a stew in which all of the liquid part has evaporated by now and all the vegetables are disgusting. All that jazz.
[00:45:05] Speaker E: You got it. All right. Over to the other door.
[00:45:08] Speaker A: Are you listening to this one? Just heading in. What's the deal?
[00:45:11] Speaker C: I rolled to listen, and I only got an eight, so.
[00:45:16] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. You don't actually hear anything in this one.
[00:45:19] Speaker C: She'll kind of, like, step back and gesture to the door for if anyone else wants to look at it with special eyes or investigate or anything like that.
[00:45:29] Speaker E: I will also perceive separately and give milo space to check for traps as well. While I do sure my perception is a 17.
[00:45:40] Speaker A: Yeah. You also don't hear anything. It seems very still inside.
[00:45:44] Speaker D: Okay, 32, investigation.
[00:45:47] Speaker A: Yeah, definitely no traps.
[00:45:49] Speaker B: Jesus Christ, Jay. That one will give it a once over for magic shit.
A very technical term.
[00:45:59] Speaker A: At the door, you're getting, like, a tiny bit of. A little tiny bit of yellow magic, but you aren't seeing the object that it's coming from, just that it is invading your space.
[00:46:15] Speaker B: Oh, adorable. I simply love that so much.
[00:46:20] Speaker A: You guys head in. You might have said that already and I missed.
[00:46:24] Speaker D: Before we head in to when we open the door, I don't know if I can't remember did this last episode or not. With that investigation check. Can I see? Is there. Before we. We touch this room, is there signs of anyone else or any other movement that has, like, entered this room or this space?
[00:46:42] Speaker E: Love it.
[00:46:43] Speaker A: Yeah, good question. I think you'd have to roll again because your first investigation was about traps.
[00:46:50] Speaker D: That's fine. I will roll again.
Uh, 29.
[00:46:56] Speaker A: No, um, definitely no evidence of, like, recent activity.
[00:47:01] Speaker C: Huh.
[00:47:02] Speaker D: Myla's getting impatient. She's like, where is the. Where is the gold? At the end of the rainbow.
[00:47:09] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:47:09] Speaker D: Yeah. She's like, where are the stuff?
[00:47:11] Speaker A: For sure you guys walk into this room. It is. This seems like some kind of dormitory, like a central sleeping area.
There are, like, beds with mostly undone sheets and blankets and things.
There is another hearth in here, mirroring the one that you saw in the dining area.
It looks like there are nine beds in here, two on each side wall and then three in the center. Each bed has, like, a trunk at the base of it as well. All of the trunks seem closed except two of them.
The center bed and the one on the very right, if you are looking into this room. But otherwise, all the trunks seem closed.
[00:48:02] Speaker D: Yeah, I want to look in the trunks.
I want to see if they have left any personal shit behind.
[00:48:08] Speaker C: I'd like to assist with that if I can. I'll be nosy.
[00:48:12] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Perfect. Do you guys want to roll for it?
[00:48:16] Speaker C: I'll just give advantage to help Mila. Yeah.
My investigation's not very good.
[00:48:24] Speaker D: It's okay. Mine is.
[00:48:28] Speaker A: No. What?
[00:48:29] Speaker D: Thanks for the help.
That's gonna be a 28.
[00:48:37] Speaker A: You find 700 gold pieces between all of the trunks. Jesus Christ. And what looks like some kind of gold liquid in a little container.
It's definitely the thing. Melwinda is giving off this yellow energy. It's like a tiny little vial that was kind of hiding behind a couple of folded pieces of clothing.
[00:49:03] Speaker F: Oh, I have a thing for that.
[00:49:05] Speaker A: Other than that, there is some, like, religious symbology in here.
Some. Each chest has, like, really basic clothing, similar to the things that you saw the skeletons wearing, except in better condition because they are not being worn by skeletons or dead people.
So each one has this folded up, like, in the same corner. It seems like kind of a standard issued sort of thing. If you needed it, it was there for you. Other than that, other people's clothing that they would have worn taken off to wear this, like, clo. Like robe and undergarments.
Cool. A good number of texts and things.
[00:49:46] Speaker B: I am gonna use.
[00:49:47] Speaker A: Sorry. Go, grace.
[00:49:48] Speaker B: My. You're good. I'm gonna use my awakened spellbook ability from my scribes.
[00:49:53] Speaker F: Wizard stuff that lets me just cast.
[00:49:56] Speaker B: A ritual spell as a something.
As a normal. As a normal spell time. So I'm using. Basically, I'm getting a free cast of identify is what I'm trying to say. But I'm on soup brain.
[00:50:14] Speaker A: Hello.
[00:50:15] Speaker B: Taking a look at the vial we got there eventually.
[00:50:18] Speaker A: Great. Yeah. This is a potion of supreme healing.
[00:50:22] Speaker B: Oh, shit. Okay.
[00:50:23] Speaker C: Whoa, whoa.
[00:50:25] Speaker E: That's the best there is.
[00:50:27] Speaker C: That is way better than our sketchy bring you back to life. Caveat. Not caveat. What's the word I'm looking for? I don't know. It'll come to me.
[00:50:37] Speaker A: Plan B?
[00:50:38] Speaker C: Sure.
Plan B.
[00:50:41] Speaker D: No plan B.
[00:50:45] Speaker F: Myla, I found something very good. Or maybe you found something very good. I forget who found this already.
[00:50:53] Speaker A: We all, like, took it from Milo. Or you're touching it while Milo's holding it.
[00:50:57] Speaker B: One of the two touching it while Milo's holding it.
[00:51:00] Speaker F: Mila, you found something very cool.
[00:51:02] Speaker D: Oh, what is it?
[00:51:04] Speaker F: It's a potion of supreme healing.
[00:51:06] Speaker D: Oh, that's a good one.
[00:51:11] Speaker F: Good is an understatement, but yes.
[00:51:14] Speaker C: Yeah, it's a supreme one, basically.
[00:51:20] Speaker D: So we should give it to somebody who is up in it a lot.
[00:51:25] Speaker B: Turns towards man with heart issues and automobiles.
[00:51:29] Speaker C: I think you're also in it a lot. Id?
[00:51:32] Speaker E: Yeah. And I get hit less than you.
[00:51:36] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:51:38] Speaker E: Zombies at the institute literally couldn't touch me.
[00:51:41] Speaker C: So I'll take it. I'll pocket it.
[00:51:44] Speaker D: Here you go.
[00:51:45] Speaker C: It's not just for me. Like, if someone else needs it, I'll just hang on to it. I can run really, really fast, so if anybody needs it, I can just.
[00:51:54] Speaker B: You can always use it on somebody else.
[00:51:55] Speaker D: Oh, I have something else for you, too. I'll take out the giant rock of salt.
This is salt?
[00:52:02] Speaker C: Her jaw is like.
[00:52:06] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm guessing you've never seen, like, a chunk of salt. Because the salt you got was, like, distilled from seawater.
[00:52:14] Speaker C: And it's pink.
[00:52:18] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:52:20] Speaker B: Mila found himalayan salt. Got it.
[00:52:24] Speaker C: How do I turn this into a cool lamp? While we're traveling.
[00:52:29] Speaker B: It'Ll get banned from your college dorm.
[00:52:32] Speaker C: Oh, really?
[00:52:33] Speaker D: Oh, gosh.
[00:52:34] Speaker B: Because they're very, very flammable.
[00:52:36] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:52:37] Speaker C: I did not know that.
[00:52:41] Speaker D: Is pink salt better than normal salt?
[00:52:45] Speaker C: Well, I don't know. I've never had pink salt before. She's gonna, like, hold it up and give it, like, a little, tiny lick.
It's pretty good. And she holds it out.
[00:52:58] Speaker D: Oh.
[00:53:01] Speaker C: If anyone wants, I can break off a chunk also with my hammer, if that's better.
[00:53:07] Speaker D: Milo will take the salt shaker out of her bag and sprinkle some into her hand and be like, are you sure this is good?
[00:53:15] Speaker C: It tastes great.
[00:53:18] Speaker D: She'll give it a little lick, and it's like.
She's like, mmm.
That's really salty.
[00:53:28] Speaker C: Yeah.
Oh, Melvin, if you need any of this for, like, anything you want to make, just let me know. It's kind of big, so I'm just gonna put it in my bag for now. But again, if anyone needs it, we.
[00:53:42] Speaker D: Have the salt shaker, too. She'll hand the salt shaker to you, too.
[00:53:47] Speaker C: She will gently take it and, like, cradle it a little bit. Very happy.
[00:53:54] Speaker B: Reverently holding salt.
[00:53:56] Speaker C: Yes. Reverently, reverently holding the salt shaker. Her, like, feet and her, like, sandals are kind of, like, little tapping a little bit. She's very happy.
[00:54:06] Speaker B: Tippy tappies.
[00:54:09] Speaker C: Okay, we looked at all of the doors.
Do we just go now, or.
[00:54:15] Speaker D: I mean, there were some hallways back in, like, the first area we were in. Or is there. No, there's not. Just kidding.
Just kidding. There's not.
[00:54:24] Speaker C: You're right.
Huh.
[00:54:28] Speaker A: I don't know. Usually there's something more that Nadia, like, turns is like, I.
Yeah, usually there's something, like, more or obvious or something.
[00:54:38] Speaker C: Would it have been one of the skeletons and we accidentally killed them?
[00:54:42] Speaker D: No, those skeletons are evil.
[00:54:45] Speaker A: Yeah, it doesn't seem right.
[00:54:46] Speaker C: Hmm.
Um hmm.
[00:54:51] Speaker D: Can I take the feather out of my bag and see if it's responding or reacting to anything in any way?
[00:54:57] Speaker A: For sure.
Make a animal just a dexterity check.
[00:55:07] Speaker D: Yeah, for sure.
[00:55:10] Speaker A: Animal handling. Sorry.
[00:55:11] Speaker D: Twelve plus proxy four is a funny 16.
[00:55:17] Speaker A: Okay. I say, Dex, check because you are, like, holding this thing, and you can feel it a little bit pulling in a certain direction. So it was mostly just a, like, are you in tune with your hands enough to, like, understand the feeling? So it's very slight.
[00:55:33] Speaker D: Ooh, which way is it pointing me?
[00:55:38] Speaker A: Basically back, like, towards down the hallway where this. Where you'd eventually run into the skeletons again, but towards the back, you know.
[00:55:46] Speaker D: Like, oh, secret door.
Oh, Myla's gonna be like, the feather wants me to go this way. She's gonna go that way.
[00:56:00] Speaker B: Normal, everyday things said by a normal, everyday person.
[00:56:06] Speaker A: Nadia rolls her eyes because Smila's, like, sounding like a chosen one. Like, for sure. It sends you. You guys don't have to move. I'll just tell you. It sends you down this hallway, past the room with the skeletons. They're back. Just kidding.
Past that second mirrored version and just past it. It's pointing you towards this wall space. I know that you guys can see a door on this map, but I don't have a way to be, like, there's another door here. So Milo would see just a flat, like, piece of wall, but it's definitely like wanting to go into the wall.
[00:56:52] Speaker D: Can I sort of like, put my hand on it and run my hands over it, see if there's any discrepancies between anything to see if there's, like, something different about this area.
[00:57:07] Speaker A: Also an investigation.
I sound like a broken record, but it's a good role to do.
[00:57:16] Speaker D: 18.
[00:57:20] Speaker A: Yeah, you kind of run your hand over the wall and eventually kind of towards the bottom of it. There's like one section that seems to, like, push inwards, like a button, and you press it and this rock slides into the rock next to it and you can just kind of see some, like, dark cave that is curving away from you and. Yeah, we'll go there next time.
[00:57:59] Speaker E: Secret tunnel.
[00:58:02] Speaker A: Secret tunnel.
[00:58:04] Speaker C: Oh, my goodness.
[00:58:08] Speaker D: Secret, secret.
[00:58:09] Speaker A: I'm not trying to put you on a wild goose chase, I swear. Oh, no.
[00:58:14] Speaker C: I meg am having a great time. Auden is baffled, but more less concerned now that she has a big old chunk of salt.
[00:58:26] Speaker A: We don't care about the healing potion. Salt is where it's at.
That's your words of the week.
Don't care about healing potions, only care about salt.
[00:58:37] Speaker D: Eat some salt.
[00:58:38] Speaker A: We will eat some salt.
[00:58:40] Speaker D: Eat some salt.
[00:58:41] Speaker C: Eat some salt.
[00:58:41] Speaker D: Eat salt.
[00:58:42] Speaker A: Especially if your blood volume is low.
[00:58:44] Speaker C: If you have pots, eat some salt.
[00:58:46] Speaker D: Eat some salt.
Put some salt in your hand. Lick it on it.
[00:58:50] Speaker A: Goat, eat some salt.
[00:58:54] Speaker B: Okay then.
[00:58:56] Speaker A: Actually, most barn animals, any barn animals.
[00:59:02] Speaker D: Oh, well.
[00:59:03] Speaker A: Alright. We'll see you next time.
