[00:00:00] Speaker A: I pull out dixes. Jesus. [00:00:03] Speaker B: Fuck. [00:00:03] Speaker A: I need to pull out d sixes. [00:00:05] Speaker C: Dixes and balls of the episode with dixes and balls. [00:00:11] Speaker B: Dang. [00:00:12] Speaker D: I have to make that episode my episode. [00:00:19] Speaker C: Put it in the intro. People will know ahead of time. [00:00:35] Speaker B: All right. 3210. No. Hazel got up again. Is that cause I'm clapping? Yay. [00:00:45] Speaker A: My clap is really sad, but it's. [00:00:47] Speaker E: Not enough to redo it. [00:00:49] Speaker A: Sorry. [00:00:49] Speaker B: You know, I'm pretty sure I do a little bit different every single time and I apologize. [00:00:54] Speaker A: You're very consistent with it, actually. [00:00:56] Speaker B: Oh, that's good. I feel like it's either like a little bit slower or a little bit faster than the week before. So I don't. [00:01:04] Speaker A: You'd be surprised how many people would not even be able to count to three in the same tempo. So you're fine. [00:01:11] Speaker B: I did choir. I don't have a thing to talk about. I am. [00:01:18] Speaker C: So let's just play then. [00:01:19] Speaker A: We're so good at this. [00:01:21] Speaker B: Hi. We'll star spells and whistles. [00:01:23] Speaker A: We're a d and D, actually. We'll play podcast set in the steampunk fantasy world and other things. And we're in a scary spot right now. [00:01:31] Speaker B: Yeah. I was thinking about some time I am gonna put you guys in front of a dragon. But it's gonna be cool because it's like steampunk. So it's gonna be. [00:01:37] Speaker C: I still haven't flavored dragon and d and D. Really? All of my years of playing. [00:01:43] Speaker B: I'm not gonna make you, then. That's. Yeah, we'll get there. [00:01:47] Speaker A: I was gonna make a horrendous concerning. [00:01:50] Speaker D: Anastasia's, like, going into her notes right now for this session. There is a dragon in here also. [00:01:56] Speaker B: Sleeping dragon. Under the impression you think you're slick. [00:01:58] Speaker C: Okay, well, I should specify I have been in combat, technically with two dragons, quote unquote. The first one wasn't an actual dragon. It was like someone who was like, turned into a dragon, but it wasn't like a dragon stat block. So I technically don't count it. And the second one, there was a dragon for like a round or two. But I didn't get to hit the dragon at all, so I don't count that. [00:02:22] Speaker B: The first time I fought a dragon, we tpk'd. So. Uh. [00:02:25] Speaker C: Oh, cool. [00:02:26] Speaker B: Well, that was cool, actually. Not technically. One person did survive, but that's because he decided to swim off the island. Oh, yeah. [00:02:35] Speaker E: That guy completely dipped. Literally. [00:02:39] Speaker B: I think it was round one. And he was like, I'm leaving. [00:02:42] Speaker D: Screw that. [00:02:43] Speaker A: And all of us were like, I'm. [00:02:44] Speaker B: Going home, but we're fighting a dragon. And he was like, no, goodbye. [00:02:50] Speaker E: I'm pretty sure everybody was dead. And then he swam away. [00:02:54] Speaker B: Oh, God. I. Well, this is the same fight where, like, I hadn't played D and D for very long at all. It had been like maybe a year. So I still had to have, like, very little basics down. And we banished the black dragon. First of all, it's a black dragon, so it's gonna be really hard. But I didn't know this because I don't know the meta of the game. So somebody cast banishment on this dragon, and then everyone was just like, let it out. We did it and started looking through all the dragon stuff, and our DM's counting the rounds until all of a sudden, a minute later, this dragon shows back up because that's how banishment works. And then we died. Anyway, fair warning, Jay, to strategize about it at least a little bit. [00:03:44] Speaker C: Who needs strategy? [00:03:46] Speaker A: I think my very first dragon encounter was actually a draco Lisk, which is like a dragon like bastardization. We were like level nine. I think this is the game I played in college. We fought an Udok in that game as well. We fought a space whale or something. No, we fought a beholder. [00:04:07] Speaker D: Space whale. [00:04:08] Speaker C: Whale. [00:04:09] Speaker B: No, we fought victin. [00:04:10] Speaker D: Don't hurt anybody ever. [00:04:12] Speaker A: We fought a beholder that got eaten by a space whale. That's what happened. And the space whale had theme music like tame and Paula would play every time it appeared. It was, I will give you so many stories I will give you so many stories about this college game when we meet up in April because it. [00:04:32] Speaker B: Was a wild ass time. [00:04:34] Speaker D: I'm very, very excited for the anthology. [00:04:37] Speaker A: I had a pigeon that was formerly Captain Hector Barbossa. Like the guy from Pirates of the Caribbean. He became bird bosa. [00:04:46] Speaker B: If you wanna. If you wanna hear more about it, join our discord. Join our discord and type up something about that pigeon. [00:04:53] Speaker A: I did briefly talk about the pigeon in discord. [00:04:56] Speaker B: There's so much more behind the pigeons. All right, so last time the crew traveled to the institute with a few mishaps. On day two, it's heart mechanics stop, and with a few spells and healing, it starts back up again. Melon insists that they need to work on fixing it, but ID vehemently disagrees and pushes forward with the condition that if it happens again, Milo would take time to fix the problem. Going forward, it seems fine so far. Auden and Melwyn talk about Melwyns hesitancy to reclaim more emotions. While ID and Milo talk about Xander versus model two and what is liked and disliked, they finally make it into the mountains and see snow up close and the institute kind of looms in the distance. You did watch a horse and cart and person probably go inside past this, like, shield barrier of some sort across the bridge. That is the seemingly only way onto this, like, single sort of peak that kind of looks like it got chopped off. Like, the top got chopped off and a building got put there. I guess you could climb the rocks if you wanted to. It would take a long time and a lot of skill. So that's also an option if you want to avoid the bridge. [00:06:19] Speaker E: You know, balls can't climb rocks, so I guess we gotta not climb. [00:06:23] Speaker C: You don't know about my balls. [00:06:25] Speaker B: I don't know where I thought that was going. [00:06:30] Speaker D: Right out the gate. [00:06:31] Speaker B: Starting with, you don't know anything about my boss. Right out the gate. [00:06:35] Speaker D: That's where we're starting this episode. Jay, we're starting with the balls. [00:06:40] Speaker B: Yay. [00:06:41] Speaker D: Stressed. [00:06:42] Speaker A: Audience. I would love to just like to note this. [00:06:45] Speaker B: Jay is. Jay's a little bit stressed. [00:06:47] Speaker A: This is how Jay copes. [00:06:50] Speaker C: I'm so stressed. I feel stressed. [00:06:51] Speaker E: My feelings all the time. My stress comes out in insulting things that I don't like, namely this stupid ball robot that replaced a cat. Now you're insulting cat robot. [00:07:02] Speaker C: Okay. [00:07:03] Speaker E: And Jay's comes out in. [00:07:05] Speaker D: Okay, gang, let's stop talking about Jay's balls. [00:07:09] Speaker A: My absolute favorite thing about last episode, this is, like, so off topic. I'm so sorry. It's, like, very tangentially related. But my absolute favorite thing that I found so funny last episode was, what do you not like about it? And it just going. It doesn't have eyes. And I just could not recover from that for the rest of that conversation. [00:07:26] Speaker C: That's so fair. I don't have enough Baja blasts for this. [00:07:35] Speaker D: So the bridge. [00:07:38] Speaker C: Maybe we should just find a cart and hijack the cart, right? [00:07:42] Speaker B: I love that this is supposed to be a serious episode. [00:07:46] Speaker A: And we were like, nah, no. Monty Python. [00:07:49] Speaker B: This shit. [00:07:49] Speaker C: I would like to cast Tasha's hideous Baja blast, please. [00:07:55] Speaker D: Tasha said he's. [00:07:56] Speaker B: You wanted to cast. If you want, mom, come pick me up. If you wanted to cast. If you wanted to cast grease and flavor it as Baja blast, you maybe. [00:08:08] Speaker C: Could take grease that's canonical. You have to let the cale slipped. [00:08:13] Speaker A: On into the pits. [00:08:14] Speaker B: Actually, that was Myla's greatest contribution to the institute was the creation of Baja blast. [00:08:21] Speaker C: You know what. [00:08:25] Speaker D: Could I make either a survival or an investigation. Check to see if there are any kinds of, like, other tracks in the snow. Either, like, people tracks, cart tracks, like Jay was thinking. Anything like that? [00:08:41] Speaker B: Yeah, go for it. [00:08:43] Speaker D: Do you have a preference either way? [00:08:46] Speaker B: I don't. [00:08:46] Speaker D: I'm gonna go for I was. Okay, survival. And I rolled a four, and I have a plus one for a five. [00:08:57] Speaker B: There are, like, four sets of tracks behind you. Super weird. [00:09:03] Speaker A: All right. [00:09:03] Speaker B: It's probably someone following you. [00:09:06] Speaker D: She's gonna squint and grab her hammer and kind of follow them back a little bit. [00:09:11] Speaker C: Do we still have that weird korok with us? [00:09:15] Speaker D: Yeah, my bestie. Melwin's bestie. Really? [00:09:20] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:09:22] Speaker A: Last I checked, he was chilling on Melan's head. [00:09:24] Speaker D: Okay. [00:09:25] Speaker C: Sorry. [00:09:25] Speaker A: I didn't remember. I think he got stuck in her hair. [00:09:29] Speaker B: I think he got helped back down to on your shoulder. Like, you take two steps on, and you're like, nah, those are my footprints. We're good. [00:09:40] Speaker E: Hysterical problems. [00:09:41] Speaker B: You did also see that cart and horse go in, so you would see that, too. But what was your question, Ben? Sorry. [00:09:48] Speaker E: Is there a problem with just going in? I mean, the building's. Looks like it's on fire. [00:09:54] Speaker F: Yeah. What's that smoke? [00:09:56] Speaker C: Oh, it's obviously. What's the smoke? [00:10:02] Speaker E: The building. [00:10:04] Speaker B: Roll a survival check. [00:10:06] Speaker C: Okay. [00:10:07] Speaker B: Okay. We didn't start the fire. [00:10:13] Speaker A: I need to mute. I'm being. I'm so sorry. [00:10:16] Speaker C: Natural 20. [00:10:18] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:10:21] Speaker C: In my D 20. That looks like. [00:10:26] Speaker E: Oh, my God. [00:10:30] Speaker B: You definitely remember nothing there that, like, there's no, like, brazier or anything that would cause this. So it's probably not supposed to be there. [00:10:43] Speaker C: Okay. Um, yeah, so that's not really usually there, as far as I remember. So the building could be on fire. I don't know. It could be anything. I guess we could technically walk in. Here's the thing. I don't know what's. So. Okay, we're here to figure out what's going on. Are we here to, like, figure out what's going on? Are we here to just, like, yell what's going on? Because if we're here, like, let's figure out what's going on, then we should probably not be super, like, explicit about it because of me. [00:11:20] Speaker E: Can't we just go up and say, hey, it looks like your building's on fire. We're adventurers. We can help. [00:11:27] Speaker C: Yeah, I guess. [00:11:29] Speaker D: I mean, how about we send you up there id to go and do that? Milo, you can stay behind just in case something does happen, and then Mellie and I can distribute ourselves elsewhere. [00:11:42] Speaker C: Oh, okay. [00:11:43] Speaker E: It walks up. [00:11:45] Speaker C: Oh, here, take model two with you. I'll roll my ball over to id. [00:11:50] Speaker E: It flips it off in a way that Milo can't see. [00:11:55] Speaker C: It's okay. [00:12:00] Speaker E: Trevor sensed this. [00:12:04] Speaker D: Melan, do you want to go with id or stay with Myla or do a secret? Third thing, I'm trying to decide what Auden's gonna do here. [00:12:14] Speaker A: Melan will be cute. Tag along for id. Also concerned that he might just drop dead at any second, so it's fine. [00:12:24] Speaker D: Oh, be on standby with the Claire. What are they called? I don't know. It doesn't matter. [00:12:32] Speaker A: I'm your portable defibrillator. [00:12:34] Speaker D: Stay back behind with Myla. Kind of tuck behind like a snowbank and just observe. [00:12:40] Speaker B: All right, so you guys kind of start crossing this bridge. Are you just gonna walk straight into the wall that you saw or stop beforehand or. [00:12:51] Speaker E: I'm just going. If something tells me to stop, like a voice in my head, I'll stop, but I'm going. [00:12:57] Speaker A: Can I detect magic? [00:13:00] Speaker C: Sure. [00:13:00] Speaker A: See what the fuck is up with this wall. If there's actually a wall. Or maybe something's just fucky. Hmm. Could be both. [00:13:08] Speaker B: So like walking up across this bridge like it's like a five minute walk from where Auden and Myla are staying that you walk away from them for like probably more like three or four minutes. You can see them, they're still just in front of you. Your detect magic. Eventually, once you get within like 30ft of what this wall was, throws you some white magic, some blue magic and some. I will say it again because. Hold on. Alright, so you walk up towards this wall within like the 30ft of detect magic and it pops up some white magic, some blue magic and some red magic for you. [00:13:57] Speaker F: Okay. [00:13:58] Speaker B: Um. [00:14:00] Speaker F: Weird combination. Well, I guess not. [00:14:03] Speaker C: Hmm. [00:14:04] Speaker F: Theoretically should be fine for us to pass through but Milo would know better. But Milo? Are we supposed to say her name? [00:14:13] Speaker E: I don't know. [00:14:15] Speaker F: Might have been a better question to ask before we walked up. That's on me. [00:14:19] Speaker B: Sorry. [00:14:21] Speaker E: Yeah. Let's go. [00:14:23] Speaker B: Okay. You just, you fully run into an invisible wall. [00:14:29] Speaker E: It knocks on it. [00:14:33] Speaker B: Sure. You get a voice in your both your minds at the same time that says state your purpose here. [00:14:47] Speaker E: We're passing through the mountains. It looks like your building is on fire. We're adventures, we can help out with putting that out. Or we've got some healing with us, some strength. If you need some stuff moved buildings on fire. [00:15:07] Speaker B: Can you both make wisdom saving throws? [00:15:11] Speaker E: Add four. [00:15:12] Speaker A: Oh true. Okay, do I want to burn this now, or do I want to save it? [00:15:19] Speaker E: 27. [00:15:20] Speaker A: Yeah, I said nine. [00:15:23] Speaker B: Oh, I'm sorry. No, that's an eight. Even better. So you just get, like, a little bit of a headache, which is not. Seems to be pretty on par for the most recent heart issues. Poor guy. Melwin, you just kind of feel, like, a very calm for a moment, and then this voice says to both of you, you're welcome in your whole group is, if you want. [00:15:57] Speaker E: Just to be clear, is your building on fire? [00:16:02] Speaker B: Potentially not sure. [00:16:05] Speaker E: Okay, that's worrisome. I just, like, wave to the other two. Like, come on. All right, I say to the voice in my head. All right, we're coming in to help with the fact that your building is on fire. [00:16:23] Speaker B: Much appreciated. [00:16:25] Speaker D: I'm looking to see if I have anything in my inventory that might help disguise Myla, and I don't think that I do. [00:16:31] Speaker E: I don't think it's gonna matter that much. [00:16:34] Speaker C: I have a feeling they're gonna be able to see through any, like, illusory stuff or anything, I guess, like, physical stuff. [00:16:40] Speaker A: But that would be a really good time for you to suddenly admit that you're a changeling. [00:16:49] Speaker C: Nah, that was my other institute character. Check out our institute. One shot. [00:16:54] Speaker E: Wow. [00:16:57] Speaker C: Plug, plug, plug, plug, plug. Yeah, I don't got nothing. [00:17:03] Speaker B: Okay. [00:17:04] Speaker C: Yeah, I think Milo just looks very unsure about this, but she trusts it, so she's like, okay, let's. Let's go. [00:17:21] Speaker B: You guys take that. That trek across the bridge as well. Until all four of you are standing, it looks like there's nothing in front of you except just more bridge. You guys head. You guys wait. And you see that this blue magic, that it has been invisible so far, disappears. And the white. And this white magic kind of appears for a second and ripples outwards as, like, a piece of it just kind of powers down and disappears until there's, like, a visible entry section in this that you can see and you guys cross through and it raises back up behind you. If anyone wants to make a perception check, they are welcome to. [00:18:14] Speaker D: I would love to. Looking specifically for, like, any other people. That dice betrayed me last time. [00:18:20] Speaker B: I got a 1511. [00:18:24] Speaker D: Not even one. [00:18:25] Speaker C: So could I throw out a bone here and say, a history check to see if anything's changed since I was last here? [00:18:35] Speaker B: Sure. Slay. [00:18:38] Speaker C: I rolled. [00:18:39] Speaker B: What was yours then? [00:18:39] Speaker C: Dog shit. 1510. [00:18:43] Speaker B: Okay, so you can see it. That there are very, like, pretty small, maybe the size of, like, a quarter, like, really small little blue gems. That are about every 10ft around the perimeter of this like rock base that you guys are on. [00:19:07] Speaker E: Got it. I'll point those out. [00:19:09] Speaker B: Sorry. They're not blue, they're white. You see like white crystals. Not diamonds. They're like genuinely white. Like Milky white are every 10ft. [00:19:19] Speaker E: Well, there's the generator, whatever that was. [00:19:22] Speaker B: Let's go, you guys. Head up towards this looming tower, looming castle. And there is a couple of doors that two people open up for you. Yes. [00:19:36] Speaker E: Before we get with an earshot of them, it's going to reiterate to everybody to keep their eyes out for those dark, murky potions that we saw get used at the house that like disintegrated that person. Keep an eye out for those. It might be a sign of who's a friend and who's not. [00:20:06] Speaker A: Melan will message Mila, so she's not talking, talking. [00:20:12] Speaker F: And go. Um, Mila? [00:20:15] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:16] Speaker F: Are we supposed to use your name? [00:20:18] Speaker C: Oh, that's a really good question because. [00:20:23] Speaker F: I said it while we were standing at the wall earlier and I realized we probably should have asked that before. [00:20:32] Speaker C: Gotcha. Um, Anastasia. They probably used my like full first name while I was here. [00:20:42] Speaker B: Huh? [00:20:42] Speaker C: Because they're all hoity toity and bullshit. [00:20:45] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:46] Speaker C: Okay. So then I think Madela will say, um, no, my first name is fine, just don't use my last name, please. [00:20:53] Speaker F: I don't even know your last name so that works. [00:20:56] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Perfect then. Yeah, my name's fine. Don't worry about it. Um, my. Yes. [00:21:04] Speaker A: Melan will shoot the message off to Auden and ID and be like, marla. [00:21:09] Speaker F: Says Mila's trying first to use the name Mila. I phrased that so weird. I'm sorry. [00:21:18] Speaker B: You guys walk in to this massive white marble tiled foyer that has two staircases that slightly curve upwards onto a second sort of level that looks over this first one. There's a huge symbol like etched into the stone on the ground that is glowing just very slightly blue. The other thing that you get, Melwyn, is a green magic that is just like permeating the floor of this room. But you guys look in and you see Professor Caleb, who you fought, and he says, ha, welcome to. It's good to see you. Glad you made your way. [00:22:08] Speaker D: Auden's gonna pull out her big old hammer. [00:22:12] Speaker E: It's good to see us. [00:22:14] Speaker B: Of course. [00:22:17] Speaker F: Why is the floor green? [00:22:18] Speaker B: Just kind of tips his head at you and doesn't answer. [00:22:23] Speaker E: Why? [00:22:24] Speaker B: Because we need you. Of course. Specifically her. [00:22:30] Speaker E: Who is her? [00:22:32] Speaker B: Looks at Mila. [00:22:33] Speaker E: Okay. [00:22:35] Speaker C: Hi. Fuck you. Bye. She just stops talking. [00:22:39] Speaker D: Is she leaving or is she. [00:22:41] Speaker C: No, she just stops talking. She's standing behind everyone. But it just like. She's like. That's the end of the conversation for me. [00:22:48] Speaker E: Can I make a perception check for other people? There's like, the two door people behind us and Professor Caleb in front of us. [00:22:56] Speaker D: Could I also do the same, please? [00:22:58] Speaker E: Ten for me. [00:23:02] Speaker D: 18. [00:23:03] Speaker B: The two people behind you look. Look very undead. Just disguised a little bit. There is something up on the secondary floor or overlook thing. I don't know that you can tell what it is. It looks like cloth. Just kind of on the floor. I don't think you see another person up there, but you can tell that there is another person up there. [00:23:35] Speaker D: Arun's gonna kind of like, nudge id and as subtly as she can, kind of like, nod or point or just somehow, like, convey that information to him and then also to Melwyn as well. I don't think she can, like, secret ify the fact that there are undead people behind her, but mostly just the. The person that is up and hiding up on the second level. [00:24:01] Speaker C: Milo will shake her head a little bit and she'll say, you need me. Okay. Right. But, like, for what? Because as far as I'm concerned, you just, like, tried to, what, knock me out and then kill my friends? And that's gonna make me want to help you? Why? [00:24:20] Speaker B: We can use your dead, too. Doesn't matter. [00:24:23] Speaker C: I don't. That's so from my point of view. If you wanted my help with something, you should have just asked, because you're basically saying, we need you, but you're not even telling me what you need me for. That doesn't make any sense. [00:24:39] Speaker B: It's not logical you would have come willingly. I don't think so. [00:24:43] Speaker C: I don't know. It depends on what you wanted to do. I've done a lot of really shitty things, professor. [00:24:48] Speaker B: Caleb. Yeah. [00:24:52] Speaker E: Also, did you know this building's on fire? [00:24:55] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [00:24:55] Speaker B: That's it. Oh, yes. [00:24:59] Speaker E: You make that sound like it's on purpose. [00:25:01] Speaker B: He just looks at you. Just looks back. [00:25:04] Speaker E: Can I make an insight check? [00:25:06] Speaker B: Sure. [00:25:07] Speaker C: I don't like him. [00:25:09] Speaker E: Yes. Uh, 22. [00:25:15] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. No, there's something super weird about him right now. He is acting in a way that does not seem self preservation like. Yeah, which is pretty contradictory to how the first time you fought him where he just kind of ran away for the most part because he was trying to not die. [00:25:36] Speaker E: Right. Is. Can I tell if he's acting is like, his body language, the same as the forehead symbol guy from my vision. [00:25:48] Speaker B: Oh, I like the question. Yeah, similar. [00:25:52] Speaker E: Can I see a murky potion on him? [00:25:57] Speaker B: No. Okay. [00:26:03] Speaker D: Is there an obvious like, staircase that is leading up to that second floor? [00:26:08] Speaker B: Yeah, two of them. There are two that kind of curve upwards like Cinderella ballroom esque where there's two curving staircases. [00:26:16] Speaker D: I get the vision. I think Auden is going to try and just slowly make her way towards the base of one of these staircases. She's just gonna keep her eyes on Caleb, but just try and like clear the space a little bit if she can. Just in terms of like, if there's something up there, she would much rather know what it is than be caught surprised by it. [00:26:45] Speaker B: Yeah, they are pretty far away. So it is just like a sort of meander that direction at this point. Like, yeah, it's a 50 foot walk. [00:26:58] Speaker D: Gotcha. Kind of looking at id, does he seem to be like, yeah, go for it, or is it more like, oh, it's probably better to stay back? [00:27:07] Speaker E: Id likes the idea and I was gonna say it will start casually walking closer too. His main goal is to be within a single combat movement of Caleb. Within 30ft. Probably the closer the better. But he doesn't want to go like be face to face with this guy. He'll stick back a little bit. [00:27:29] Speaker B: Caleb has already moved within a movement's range of you got it. [00:27:34] Speaker E: So the stairs are behind him? [00:27:37] Speaker B: Yes. [00:27:37] Speaker E: Cool. [00:27:38] Speaker C: That makes me nervous. [00:27:39] Speaker E: I'll scoot forward a little bit. [00:27:40] Speaker C: Then I think Mila is going to say, oh, actually, Professor Caleb, there's something I've been meaning to ask you. She'll pull out like a little journal just because you've had so much experience in other things that I clearly haven't. What is it like to die? [00:28:02] Speaker A: Brutal. [00:28:03] Speaker B: It's nice, actually. [00:28:05] Speaker C: Oh, it's nice. Is this something that's something you'd like to experience again? [00:28:10] Speaker B: Like just hypothetically, you'd want to learn Myla. [00:28:13] Speaker C: Not necessarily. That's why I'm asking you. [00:28:15] Speaker B: Okay, we'll go into combat because he is going to fight you. [00:28:20] Speaker C: Cool. [00:28:26] Speaker E: I did too. Orb. Orb has token. [00:28:31] Speaker B: I tried to find an orb that wasn't just like a ball bearing looking ball. That's what it is though. I don't know that. It's like completely smooth all the way around. Like, I figured it had some sort of like, it was kind of, you know, those. What were those? Like the toys that like curled up into a ball but then like little like, oh, yeah. Baka. Bakugan. [00:28:56] Speaker A: Bakugan Yakugan is from Norway. [00:28:59] Speaker E: That's right. [00:29:00] Speaker A: We've had this conversation before. [00:29:02] Speaker E: That's not that exact one. I named a different ball thing the last time. [00:29:07] Speaker B: Fun fact. [00:29:08] Speaker A: You did. [00:29:08] Speaker B: Fun fact. [00:29:08] Speaker C: My mom cleaned your bakugan bakugans, so. [00:29:12] Speaker A: It'S actually a rasengan, actually. [00:29:15] Speaker B: I love it. [00:29:16] Speaker D: I love it. [00:29:17] Speaker A: You know the other big Naruto thing. [00:29:20] Speaker E: I rolled really good listeners. It has a minus two to dexterity. And I got a 17, which means I rolled a natural 19, which is fair. [00:29:26] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. I rolled a natural 19. [00:29:27] Speaker D: That's the highest you have ever for a dirty 20. [00:29:31] Speaker A: I think that's the highest you've ever rolled an initiative, Ben. [00:29:34] Speaker E: It might be exciting, and for good reason, too, because it really wants to kill this guy. [00:29:40] Speaker A: What the fuck did I roll? [00:29:42] Speaker B: I was indeed modifying the map while you were talking, just in case. Okay, so for you guys, the stuff that's in black is up about 20ft. Actually, it goes very. It's very tall. So the stairs pull you up 20ft and then that second, that back black part is taller. So you are. You are able to go underneath that overhang if you want. We're just gonna have to, like, remember, if you're on the ground floor or the top floor, you are welcome to do that. But, yeah, that's where everyone's at currently. [00:30:21] Speaker E: I rolled really good on initiative and I'm still last of the order listeners. [00:30:26] Speaker A: Everybody rolled because I have a higher Dex. [00:30:29] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:30:31] Speaker A: I thought you rolled to 17. Oh, did you just change it? [00:30:33] Speaker E: I changed it so it was the correct order. [00:30:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay, so right now we've got. Actually, I need to add him to the initiative 1 second. [00:30:44] Speaker D: I'm scared he's gonna be like 30,000 initiative and explode us all with his mind. [00:30:51] Speaker E: Yeah, he's got a plus 29,998 to his initiative. [00:30:55] Speaker B: Yeah, it's really bad. [00:30:57] Speaker E: Rolls of two. [00:30:59] Speaker A: One of those abilities that makes people reroll, though, I think you can do that with luck, technically, on certain things. [00:31:06] Speaker B: But it's fine, guys. We all know I rolled badly matter. [00:31:11] Speaker D: Let's just clobber and circle up and just bam, bam, bam. [00:31:16] Speaker E: Yeah. Beat him up. Take his lunch money. [00:31:20] Speaker B: Yeah. So in order, we've got Auden at 20 miles, a 19, Melwin 17, ID 16, and Caleb with an eight set tracks. So I am going to have Auden go first. [00:31:34] Speaker D: Okay. [00:31:34] Speaker B: As is the order of initiative, what do you want to do? Awesome. [00:31:37] Speaker D: Awesome. Since we're all going first, what is kind of the visual cue that we pick up on that's like he's going for a fight right now that makes us spring into action before. [00:31:47] Speaker B: Yeah, he's pulling out a dagger. [00:31:50] Speaker D: Oh, gross. Okay. I think that Auden is going to, she has this special little thing called instinctive pounce. And it says as part of the bonus action you can take to enter your rage, you can move up to half your speed. So Auden is going to enter her flow state as she kind of is like walking and then she hears that like shink of like a dagger coming out of the sheath and she just kind of focuses in and zeros in on that. And she enters that flow state and she is going to move that 1st 20ft towards the guy and then use the rest of her 40ft to go. And she is going to run up and around a little bit and I think Auden is going to use her moo action. If I grapple him, could he just like magic out? Is that how magic works? [00:32:44] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:32:45] Speaker D: Bummer. Okay, then I guess I'll just step or something. Yeah, I'm just gonna take two attacks on him then go for it with my big hammer. She is swinging two handed, baby. That first attack is going to be a 23 to hit that heads. Oh, I rolled Max damage on that first attack. That's gonna be 13 plus, plus two for 15 points of damage. [00:33:14] Speaker B: Nice. [00:33:17] Speaker D: And then the second one is not so good. That one's only a 14 to hit. Actually, could I retroactively say that one is. Oh yeah, never mind then you said it does hit. [00:33:32] Speaker B: What were you gonna. [00:33:33] Speaker D: I was gonna reckless. So I'm gonna be diligent and reckless that one. If that. [00:33:41] Speaker B: You could crit anyway, so I mean fish for crit. [00:33:44] Speaker C: Oh yeah. [00:33:47] Speaker D: Not a crit, but you know, more solid quote, quote. Solid hit. Okay, so in that case, that one is going to be quick math. Just nine points of damage. I didn't roll so well on the damage for that one. So 15 in the nine for a total of 24 points of damage from Auden. Go team. [00:34:08] Speaker B: That's it for I put the hasted thing on Auden just to remind myself that you reckless. Yeah, cool. But I don't think there's a reckless one, so. No, I'll be raging. But that's not the same. [00:34:20] Speaker D: I'm gonna rotate it so I can see her cute little face. [00:34:23] Speaker B: Yes. Next is Milo. What are you doing? [00:34:27] Speaker C: Oh, buddy. Oh boy. Guys, this is a fun little situation we've gotten ourselves into. [00:34:35] Speaker B: Okay. [00:34:37] Speaker C: I hate going early in initiative when I don't know what to do. This is fine. It's fine. We're good. [00:34:42] Speaker D: You could delay your time, right? [00:34:44] Speaker C: I could but I kind of want to get my orb out on the field. Okay. [00:34:50] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:50] Speaker A: If you hold an action also it eats your reaction for that round. So. [00:34:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:54] Speaker C: So. Okay. I think. Okay, so for the listeners at home, Myla, model two, Melwyn and just slightly in front of them. Id are sort of in like the southern end of this map near the front door of this of the institute. And Caleb and Auden are currently sort of northwest from us. So flanking around and not getting close at all. Myla is going to go. So 510 15 2025. 30 30ft to the west is gonna pull out her gun and is gonna shoot him two times. [00:35:41] Speaker B: Perfect. [00:35:41] Speaker C: Because I don't like him. Okay, so the first one is gonna be a. Oh, dirty 20 to hit. [00:35:52] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:35:53] Speaker C: And the second hit is going to be a 21 to hit. First hit. Oh, I have a d. Eight now is going to be nine points of piercing damage and then eight points of piercing damage on the second hit. [00:36:13] Speaker B: Perfect. [00:36:14] Speaker C: She is going to use her bonus action to command model two to rush forward. 510 15 2025. [00:36:26] Speaker B: Okay. [00:36:27] Speaker C: 30 right here. [00:36:28] Speaker B: Flanking caleb with. [00:36:29] Speaker C: Yes, flanking Caleb with auden for now. My thing actually has a movement of 40, I believe. So it will use some of its movement to get there. Yes, it does. So this ball rolls real fast. It's like sonic, my guys. And model two is going to force empowered rend this thing. It's gonna hit him with his little, you know, that little boot that helped pick him up to the stairs. It's going to position itself to where it basically comes out like a big punching bag, like a punching glove and is going to just like boom in the side of him at advantage because of thinking, oh, that's a mega slate. A hit. Spell it. My spell attack modifier. Oh, that's so that's gonna be 22 to hit. It is going to deal. [00:37:31] Speaker A: I rolled. [00:37:32] Speaker C: Shit. Four points of force damage. [00:37:35] Speaker B: Okay. [00:37:36] Speaker C: And then it's going to continue going around Caleb with leaving melee to basically leave room for id to come up and it'd be within 5ft of Auden and that is going to be my turn. [00:37:54] Speaker B: Okay, next up is somebody not seen on the map but they're on the now they walk up from on the second floor just kind of like lazily and look over the railing down at the whole foyer and what's going on. They just kind of sigh. Oh no, they're hot. They are a very like slender elf currently with completely white eyes not seen in this photo. But yes, they have the symbol of crescent moon with a triangle pointing towards it. And it is purple. And it is kind of etched into their skin more than a tattoo would be and is glowing. They just kind of sigh and say, huh, that shouldn't be that hard. And they are going to drop concentration on their spell. All of this green that Melvin sees goes away. And you can see a bunch of other bodies on the ground. [00:39:04] Speaker C: Oh. Oh, I hate it. I hate it so much. No. [00:39:12] Speaker B: There are six corpses currently. Two of them are the two behind you that Auden clocked, but the other four were not previously seen. They are laying down, though, so they are currently prone. Let's see. He is going to just kind of like, wave a finger in the direction of Myla and he's going to try to cloud kill you. [00:39:39] Speaker C: Oh, great. [00:39:43] Speaker E: Okay, so what do I need to do? [00:39:46] Speaker B: So they center it kind of a couple. A couple squares to your. To your right and up a little bit so that if you want to get to Caleb, it's gonna be a little bit harder, which means id does not get caught in it. I have a million tabs. Bear with me. [00:40:03] Speaker C: No worries. [00:40:04] Speaker E: Con save. [00:40:06] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:40:06] Speaker C: Oh, I rolled my dice. Are very much loving me tonight. [00:40:11] Speaker B: Bless up. [00:40:14] Speaker C: That is. And I'm good at con. Saves. Sorry. I like being good at things in this fantasy game. With a natty 18, that's a 24. [00:40:25] Speaker E: Woo. [00:40:26] Speaker B: All right. [00:40:28] Speaker E: DC 25. [00:40:31] Speaker B: No, you do save. You do save. [00:40:33] Speaker D: Okay. [00:40:33] Speaker C: Slay. [00:40:34] Speaker B: You take eleven points of damage. [00:40:37] Speaker C: Okay? [00:40:37] Speaker B: Because it is half as much. And if you stick start your turn there, any creature that starts his turn in it will be affected. [00:40:49] Speaker C: Okay? [00:40:50] Speaker B: So that is going to be their turn. Melwyn, it is your turn. [00:40:55] Speaker A: Well, that's annoying. Okay. And aoes are out of the question. Cause you guys are all there. [00:41:02] Speaker E: Okay, how high up is this thing that he says? [00:41:05] Speaker A: He says 20ft. [00:41:06] Speaker E: 20Ft? [00:41:07] Speaker B: Yes. Okay. [00:41:09] Speaker A: Double checking ranges. Sorry, give me a sec. My entire plan changed. Spellcasting and combat can be fun that way. Man, I didn't want to burn my big whammy spells at the beginning of this, but I think I'm gonna have to. That's fine. Um, or alternatively, Melon is going to 510 15 2025. This big circle in the middle scares me. But. [00:41:35] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:41:37] Speaker A: Uh, what can you do? 1015 2025 30. It's still not gonna be far enough. God damn. [00:41:46] Speaker B: Ugh. [00:41:48] Speaker A: Everything is so far away. [00:41:51] Speaker B: It's fine. [00:41:52] Speaker A: I can't do what I was gonna do, but, um, you're within fireball range now. [00:41:55] Speaker B: So blast. That's. [00:41:58] Speaker A: What's the plan? Thank you so, so much, uh, to geek therapeutics, for giving me a free set of d sixes. That does a lot with us. Amazing. Cool. I need deck saves from at least the one guy. I should probably tell you where I'm going to center that. I'm going to center it. The two corpses that are just north of that big circle that Mellon is now standing on. I am going to center it. There it is a 20 foot radius, so it should be 40ft across. And now I get to do math really quickly. But I. I have a calculator pulled up, so. [00:42:30] Speaker B: Yippee. Mm hmm. Well, that's definitely gonna be a fail, but they are going to. Legendary. You mad? [00:42:43] Speaker A: At you, you son of a bitch. [00:42:45] Speaker B: You think I want to take a fireball sitting down? No, this is big. I mean, this is big fight time. [00:42:52] Speaker E: You did say that they're walking, so they're not sitting. Sorry. [00:42:59] Speaker A: That is gonna be 35 points of fire damage to all of them. [00:43:04] Speaker B: Woo. [00:43:04] Speaker E: Good roll. [00:43:05] Speaker A: Legendary resist. That guy takes half, right? So 18 round. [00:43:10] Speaker D: Up or down? [00:43:11] Speaker A: I forget. 17 or 18. [00:43:12] Speaker E: It's always down. [00:43:13] Speaker B: It's down. [00:43:15] Speaker A: It's up for hit points. That's why. [00:43:17] Speaker E: Up for hit dice. It's the stupidest shit. [00:43:22] Speaker D: Apologies. [00:43:25] Speaker B: Okay, so you haven't seen this, but these two corpses just die immediately? Yeah, good, good. [00:43:35] Speaker A: Fuck you. [00:43:37] Speaker B: They. They do not have 35 hit points. [00:43:41] Speaker D: Great turn. That was great. I'm glad we have two less guys to deal with. [00:43:48] Speaker B: Hee hee hee. [00:43:49] Speaker A: Methinks Melan shall save her things. What are they called? Torcerey points. That's what I was trying to say. I have zero vocabulary right now. I'm so sorry. Move on. [00:44:02] Speaker D: Please save me. [00:44:05] Speaker B: True. [00:44:06] Speaker A: It's not even comedy stress. I'm great in combat. Usually I'm just out of it. [00:44:12] Speaker C: We chillin'. Get a baja blast. Have a baja blast. [00:44:17] Speaker B: All right, id have a baja blast. [00:44:21] Speaker E: Is going to move up north and then northwest. 510 15 2025 30. He just kind of, like, skims along the edge of the cloud kill going from basically 03:00 up to 12:00 on its radius. And as he does, he's gonna take his war pick and kind of cut through the cloud like he did with Melwyn's darkness in the last fight that we had with these school assholes. And as he does, he's going to use a bonus action to enhance his strike with poison strike, which is technically a channel divinity. But he is channeling no divinity, he's just channeling murderous vibes. And so his warpick once again becomes this, like, large scythe like thing. But instead of being covered in darkness, it's just like this cloud solidified around his weapon, and he swings it, scooping up across the ground to try to puncture through Caleb's chest with advantage because of flanking. That's super. A hit. With a 26 to hit, I am going to put a first level smite on this as well. Smoke. Is he undead? [00:45:48] Speaker B: Yes. [00:45:49] Speaker E: Oh, I get an extra d eight. [00:45:52] Speaker B: Hehe. [00:45:54] Speaker D: I, like, had a feeling, but it's nice to have the confirmation. [00:45:59] Speaker E: Oh, my God. Would you like the damages separate in order for resistances or anything? I've got piercing and radiant and poison. [00:46:11] Speaker D: No pee damage. [00:46:15] Speaker B: Okay. [00:46:18] Speaker E: 43 points of damage total. [00:46:20] Speaker B: Okay, nice turn. Nice hit. [00:46:24] Speaker E: The poison strike is rad because it says on the next attack, the poison damage. Oh, sorry, not 43. It's actually 51. No, we're not. [00:46:38] Speaker B: Nice level damage. 50 50 damage. [00:46:45] Speaker E: Poison strike does. Yes. Seven more because it's plus my paladin level. [00:46:50] Speaker D: Nice. [00:46:51] Speaker E: The poison damage equals two d. Ten plus your paladin level. Or 20 plus your paladin level if you had advantage on the attack roll. [00:46:57] Speaker A: So having that snake basically just automatically rolls into temps. [00:47:02] Speaker E: How's he looking? [00:47:03] Speaker B: That's crazy. Decent, decent. Decent. [00:47:09] Speaker D: After 51 points of damage in one. [00:47:12] Speaker E: Round, I will attack him again with my second attack. [00:47:19] Speaker D: 51 more points. [00:47:21] Speaker E: I can't. [00:47:25] Speaker D: A girl can. Hope. [00:47:27] Speaker E: I know. 21 to hit. [00:47:30] Speaker B: 21 hits. [00:47:32] Speaker E: Put another first level smite on. Not as good on that. 124 points of damage. That's my turn. [00:47:46] Speaker B: Good turn. [00:47:48] Speaker D: Let me fall. [00:47:48] Speaker B: Figure things. [00:47:50] Speaker E: Uh, yeah, I hope really wanted to break his concentration. If he was concentrating on anything but cool, fine by me. [00:47:58] Speaker D: It's concentrating on not dying. [00:48:00] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:48:02] Speaker B: How dare you? [00:48:04] Speaker E: I'm gonna put an aura token up for everybody. [00:48:07] Speaker B: Okay? At the end of your turn, the elf upstairs is going to take a look legendary action. And put their hands together in sort of a unity symbol, like a clasping of both hands and just kind of look upwards. It's hard to tell because their eyes are just entirely white that they are looking upwards, but their head tilts up a little bit. And all of the zombies in the area all stand up and start, like, they just kind of, like, readjust themselves. Stand upright, figure out balance again. And that's going to be his legendary action. [00:48:56] Speaker C: E gads. [00:48:58] Speaker B: All right, so that is that next on the list is actually the zombies. There are a few that are still hidden, so they are not here yet. Like, you cannot see them as characters, but they are on the list, and they're all gonna go at the same time because I'm not having six plus different slots in the initiative order. And also, they've got one thing, which is that they move and then they hit things. So there are three zombies on Melwin. Two of them cannot take hits at you this turn because they had to dash to get there. One of them can. There is one other zombie by Auden flanking with Caleb. Although it won't matter either way because you reckless, so things have advantage against you. But that's it so far. [00:49:50] Speaker C: Model two would love to use deflect attack reaction to cause disadvantage on the first attack roll against Auden, which just. [00:49:59] Speaker A: Makes it a flat roll for Auden. [00:50:01] Speaker B: Okay, I will reroll then. Oh, that's probably not gonna hit. That's a twelve. That does not hit. That doesn't. I don't think that does. It. It does. It does only get one hit. It's. Yeah. I also forgot to do a zombie thing, and I'm very sad about it now because I'm not gonna do it. It's okay. [00:50:24] Speaker C: Can I flavor that? As the attack is coming towards Auden, that almost like a spectral, electric, like, orb version of model two just, like, intercepts the block and just sort of, like, hits the hand away. Almost like a giant softball. [00:50:37] Speaker B: You can't. No, no. I'm gonna deny that flavor request because you can't make model two. Cool. Now, we've already had so many episodes. Model two hasn't cool models. [00:50:47] Speaker C: I don't know what you're talking about. [00:50:48] Speaker B: Incorrect propaganda has worked. [00:50:53] Speaker C: It's a bunch of circles. I don't know what else you want. [00:50:56] Speaker B: Model two to do. [00:50:57] Speaker C: It's just a bunch of circles. [00:50:59] Speaker B: God damn it. I roll so freaking bad. That's a six to hit, Melwin. Which it doesn't. So awesome. Cool, good. [00:51:08] Speaker D: It grows immoral. [00:51:09] Speaker B: That's the zombies turn. Yeah, that was a six at advantage. It doesn't have advantage because. [00:51:19] Speaker D: Oh, it's not a true flank. [00:51:21] Speaker B: It is not true flank. And also, these two guys can't hit you this turn. So that's my ruling on that. They, like, shambled over to get to you. [00:51:30] Speaker A: Like, I'm not complaining. I'm not getting bodied by zombies. [00:51:35] Speaker B: No, that's fair. [00:51:36] Speaker A: Zombies is zombie. [00:51:37] Speaker B: I can't zomblies. [00:51:38] Speaker A: I fucking hate. [00:51:40] Speaker D: I love that english language so much. [00:51:42] Speaker A: With a burning passion. It's the only language I speak fluently, and I still hate it. [00:51:49] Speaker B: It's a bad language. At the end of that zombie's turn. Caleb's gonna take a legendary action to Eldridge blast id at disadvantage, which puts it at a not good enough 14. [00:52:04] Speaker E: About the same miss. [00:52:06] Speaker B: It is going to be Caleb's turn. He's going to look at. He's gonna look past everyone that's in his face right now and just kind of look. Oh, he can't see Mila, actually. [00:52:20] Speaker D: She is in the cloud of killing. It's true. [00:52:23] Speaker B: Yeah. So he's gonna look at it and say a shame. And I'll need you to make a wisdom saving throw. [00:52:32] Speaker E: Okay. Yeah. Plus eight to this total. That is a 1717 meets. [00:52:47] Speaker B: So instead of being charmed in any way. [00:52:53] Speaker A: Oh, that would have been so bad. [00:52:56] Speaker B: Please. [00:52:56] Speaker A: You hit like a truck, my guy. [00:52:59] Speaker D: Dear. That would be so. [00:53:01] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a good dominate person too. Kill that guy. He is also. So after that works, he's gonna be like. And then just turns, stays in his spot turns so he can look at both Auden and it kind of like one after another and is going to do Tasha's hideous laughter on both of you at the same time as his bonus action. So you guys both make another wisdom saving. [00:53:33] Speaker E: Wisdom save plus four, please. [00:53:35] Speaker D: Oh, thank you. Thank you. [00:53:38] Speaker E: Oh, I didn't save that time. I got a 14. [00:53:43] Speaker D: Neither did I got a 15. [00:53:46] Speaker B: Okay. You both fall prone and are incapacitated. [00:53:48] Speaker D: Oh, wait, let me double check. I have advantage because I can see him. It's a barbarian thing. I remember. [00:53:55] Speaker E: That thing is just dexterity saving turn. [00:53:57] Speaker D: Dexterity. Oh, never mind. I don't have. You're right. Oh, shucks. Okay, never mind then. Oh, man. I was gonna do something cool. Next turn, Anastasia. Harsh my mellow. [00:54:09] Speaker B: I'm actually. I'm not sorry you guys have done so much damage to him. One round. Okay. [00:54:19] Speaker D: How much was the damage? [00:54:20] Speaker B: So at the end of your turns, and with, if you take damage, you can make another wisdom saving throw to end it. He is currently concentrating on it because that is how this works. [00:54:31] Speaker E: There's no damage. [00:54:32] Speaker B: Is that thingy concentration? [00:54:35] Speaker E: It's just a super good effect. [00:54:38] Speaker D: Oh, I'm really close to not being affected by that because my intelligence score is not that high. [00:54:45] Speaker E: That's really funny. [00:54:46] Speaker B: I almost checked, but I was like, I'm pretty sure it's higher than four. It is barely. Just kidding. Fabulous. So that is going to be his turn. At the top of the round, you guys see some fire pop up that seems to be spreading, like, unnaturally on the tile floor. Like, tile floor does not catch fire typically, but this fire is, like, catching on this tile floor, and it's also catching on the wooden beams and stuff that are keeping up this huge building. And so there are three spots on the map. One that is kind of bottom left corner, top left corner, and then another that's on the very, like, right side. So they aren't currently very close to anybody, but they are going to spread, likely. So that is another thing to deal with. Auden, it's your turn. At the end of your turn, you can. You can try to roll another wisdom save. Okay. [00:55:48] Speaker E: Your rage has ended. [00:55:50] Speaker D: Yeah. Until then, I am incapacitated. [00:55:55] Speaker E: Yes. [00:55:56] Speaker B: Yes. [00:55:56] Speaker D: Which means I can never take actions. No actions. Could I take a bonus action? [00:56:02] Speaker E: No. A bonus action is a type of. [00:56:04] Speaker D: Action that counts as. [00:56:05] Speaker E: So is a reaction. [00:56:07] Speaker C: Ugh. [00:56:07] Speaker D: So I guess the only thing that I can do is move. I could stand up and move. [00:56:14] Speaker E: Does incapacitated say move to let me. [00:56:16] Speaker A: Look. [00:56:21] Speaker E: Move or speak? [00:56:23] Speaker D: So, nothing. [00:56:25] Speaker E: Oh, no. Incapacitated creature. [00:56:27] Speaker B: No. Just can't take action. [00:56:29] Speaker E: So I guess we could stand. [00:56:30] Speaker B: So bonus actions would actually, you know. [00:56:32] Speaker E: I've looked this up before. Bonus actions are a type of action. [00:56:37] Speaker C: It says you. [00:56:38] Speaker B: All right. [00:56:39] Speaker C: Tasha's hideous laughter says you are unable to stand up for the duration. So I don't know if that means you could. [00:56:43] Speaker B: Got it. [00:56:43] Speaker D: Okay. [00:56:44] Speaker C: Crawl or anything, but you unable to stand up. [00:56:47] Speaker D: Understood. I think in that case, the only thing I can't. I mean, movement. [00:56:52] Speaker E: Can't do anything. [00:56:53] Speaker B: Yes. [00:56:54] Speaker D: But it's all gonna be. I guess I'll just. [00:56:56] Speaker E: All crawling. [00:56:57] Speaker D: Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I'm not gonna move because that's just gonna invoke opportunities. [00:57:02] Speaker B: Tax. [00:57:02] Speaker D: I'll just make the same. I'll just roll a natural 20, right? No, I rolled a four, so I am still incapacitated. [00:57:09] Speaker C: Okay. [00:57:10] Speaker D: That's for Auden's turn. [00:57:13] Speaker E: The rough thing about this, listeners, is that our protection goes away if you're incapacitated. [00:57:21] Speaker D: Yeah. I did not roll high enough for it. [00:57:23] Speaker E: No, no, it doesn't. It just says you must be conscious. So. [00:57:27] Speaker C: I do have rf. [00:57:29] Speaker E: You've got a plus four id with them. [00:57:32] Speaker C: Baddie vibes. Not bad vibes. [00:57:34] Speaker B: I thought it was important. [00:57:39] Speaker E: So if a plus four would save you. [00:57:41] Speaker D: No, I rolled just a natural four, so it's not really gonna do much, but thanks. [00:57:47] Speaker B: All right, we're gonna go to Mila. [00:57:50] Speaker C: Okay. Myla is going to continue heading northwest, and it's gonna. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:57:56] Speaker B: So. [00:57:56] Speaker C: Sorry. Let me do that beforehand. [00:58:00] Speaker D: I got. [00:58:01] Speaker B: I was getting there. I was getting there. 19 promise, 1919 saves. [00:58:10] Speaker C: Okay. So I take. Do I take half damage again, or. [00:58:14] Speaker B: Yes. [00:58:15] Speaker C: Yes. [00:58:16] Speaker B: Five d. Eight, indeed. I have to do math, so that's gonna be nine points of damage. [00:58:23] Speaker C: Coolio. I take it like a champ. I'm going to go now. I'm going to go northwest. 510 15 2025 30 to right here. I'm going to take two more shots. [00:58:40] Speaker B: At Professor K. Where is here, Jay? [00:58:46] Speaker C: I was getting there. I said northwest. I said I'm heading northwest. My movement, and I'm not yet at the stairs, but I'm getting close. Sorry. And I want to take two shots at Caleb. First of all, for my action, please. The first hit. Balls. Does not hit. Not my balls. Sorry. I'm going through. It is a 19 to hit on the second hit. [00:59:16] Speaker B: 19. [00:59:18] Speaker C: That is. [00:59:18] Speaker B: Ha ha ha. [00:59:20] Speaker C: Eleven points of piercing damage. He's gotta make a concentration check. [00:59:26] Speaker B: Just ten. [00:59:28] Speaker C: Yeah, he's probably pretty good at him. [00:59:31] Speaker B: But that is a safe yes. [00:59:33] Speaker C: Okay. Bonus action command model two to punching Baghdad again. It's a natty 18 plus numbers. [00:59:50] Speaker D: Nice. [00:59:55] Speaker C: Let's go, guys. Let's go, gamers. Eight points of force damage. [01:00:02] Speaker B: Okay. [01:00:03] Speaker C: Has to make another concentration chick. [01:00:06] Speaker B: All right, egg again. Whoa. That one sucks. He does drop, actually. He does drop. Wow. [01:00:15] Speaker C: I have succeeded at D and D. I win. Not for no longer. [01:00:21] Speaker B: Okay. [01:00:22] Speaker C: Yeah. That's all I can do. That's my turn. [01:00:24] Speaker B: Amazing. Yay. [01:00:27] Speaker A: Model two. [01:00:27] Speaker D: I'm a convert to the ball. [01:00:30] Speaker C: Oh, wait, sorry. Can I flavor my. Can I flavor my turn? [01:00:33] Speaker B: Sorry. [01:00:34] Speaker C: I keep getting so caught up by mechanics that I need to believe it by turn. So Myla steps out of this cloud kill. You could see that there's a little bit of, like, boils and stuff from the actual, like, poison aspect of it, but she just sort of shakes it off a little and she pulls the gun, takes aim, and fires. And I think that just, like, flavor wise, because she's been working on it a little bit. There's a little bit less of, like, a natural kickback to it. You can see that she is able to, like, steady her aim a little better. Yeah, that's my turn. [01:01:08] Speaker B: I love it. We are going to do this elf's turn, and then we're going to end the session because. Station. No, I'm sorry. We've only got a limited period of time, so he's going to actually, we're going to start with his turn, but at the end of my list turn, he's going to look over at the rumpled shape on the floor that Auden saw and just kind of say, I need another. And this black smoke is going to come flying from this thing on the ground and into him. And you can see it go into his mouth. You watch Professor Opal as an undead. [01:02:01] Speaker C: I hate God. [01:02:04] Speaker B: Stand back up. [01:02:06] Speaker C: I hate you, Miss Streep. [01:02:08] Speaker E: We're so screwed. [01:02:10] Speaker C: Not actually Meryl Streep, but that's gonna finish the session. It's okay. She can't engine drop on you guys with Caleb there. [01:02:21] Speaker E: Yes, she can. He's already undead. They don't care. [01:02:26] Speaker C: I know they don't care. [01:02:28] Speaker D: We'll figure it out. We have a whole week to strategize. [01:02:32] Speaker B: Yeah, you guys, you got strategy time? Oh, yeah, strategy. [01:02:36] Speaker D: Run away and cry. [01:02:39] Speaker C: No, we got it. We can take. [01:02:41] Speaker D: We got it. Easy peasy. [01:02:42] Speaker C: Got it. [01:02:43] Speaker B: I feel really bad because Ben looks genuinely stressed and if he's genuinely. [01:02:48] Speaker E: I was doing okay and then spellcaster and the chat and now I'm not. [01:02:53] Speaker B: Sorry. Sorry. [01:02:54] Speaker E: This man took a hundred points of damage and is still okay. [01:02:59] Speaker B: I thought for sure, if it makes you feel any better. [01:03:01] Speaker E: Huh? [01:03:03] Speaker B: He's bloodied now. If it makes you feel. [01:03:04] Speaker E: Yeah, for sure. This man has 200 hit points, 150 hit points, whatever. That's too much for his bulk after these guys are too dead. [01:03:18] Speaker C: Yeah, but he's undead. [01:03:19] Speaker B: Yeah. All right. Anyway, we'll see you next time for the of this combat, right as the. [01:03:28] Speaker C: Kraken from pirates starts playing on my queue. Okay. [01:03:34] Speaker E: Hello, listeners, this is Ben.
